Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

I've got a couple of these since it seems the first way they go is either the ignition or taring the column apart.

That things crazy! I gotta check that out.

I have one or two of those column gards from back in the days. I think its on the shelve at the shop. When mine is up an running again it will always be on it.

Tech, where are you in you build? I work so much on mine whenever I get a free minute that I don't get to read hardly any on other peeps builds. When I finish mine, I plan on doing A LOT of reading about everyone else's projects.

Just making slow progress on it, time is the hard part. Had a change in plan a little while back. Got a Gen IV 5.3 / 4l60E for it so just work through the change to put all the late model stuff in. New fuel tank should be here soon, taking the tranny to the shop to get set up for the 205. Just gathering parts when I can. Hope to have it running by this spring.

Man, that will be nice having late model gear. Did you get the wiring harness, ecm and all the goodies for the swap?

Very cool thunder....sweet work and even sweeter sounding engine....nicely done.

Well, I just took it out on a test drive. I couldn't stand to wait to hook up the exhaust. Its like driving a 7500lb go cart!:D I drove it around until someone called the popo on me. I shot a 4 minute video driving it around on my phone that I am trying to upload. It is unbelievable how much of a difference this is compared to the stock 350. I do not have one leak anywhere and everything is working exactly as it should so far.:waytogo:

I will post the video as soon as I figure out how to upload it. It is so big that my phone isn't even playing it right. I may have to shoot a smaller one.

/hi5 brother!! It's looking awesome!! What did the LEO say after he got a look at your rig?

The Sheriff deputy showed up after about 15 mins of driving around. I NEVER got over 1/2 throttle. I didn't pull over.....I was almost back to the shop. I showed him the laptop in the floor and what I was doing. He said it was badazz. He asked me if I was going to need to drive it around much more with no mufflers. I told him no....that I was getting a base tune in the tranny. I showed him all the exhaust laying in the floor. He ran the tags. All the registration and insurance was current. He was totally cool.

Very cool.

What's up with the speedo?

I haven't programmed it yet. You have to go on a measured 2 mile drive to set it. I already got in trouble with it playing in the neighborhood. I am going to have to get the exhaust on it before I take it out on the interstate.

The software for the tranny ecm reads real time. I was able to see true speed on it. I was able to enter my new gear ratio in the tranny, axle ratio, tire size, etc. It's pretty cool so far. I need to do some more programming on the tranny after I get the exhaust on it and get someone else to drive so I can program it in real time. I hit 70mph in a heartbeat in it. There is a brief point in the video where you can see a small clip of me meeting a truck. I was running almost 60mph at that point. That road is curvy as Hell and has a 35mph speed limit and I was blowing down it with open headers with a stout 572.
