ya a 305 isn't really going to get you any better milage than a 350. My 305 gets 8-10mpg...

Well that killed that idea 
I checked the transfer case and it is filled with nice clean red atf, so not sure where that gear oil is coming from.
Tried out some low gear crawling tonight
4L and Granny low is amazing.
Also tweaked the carb a bit more, and tested it out on the hill of doom without any flooding. Still going to get a q-jet.......... The edelbrock is too big

Well as far as the exhaust goes.. I got some free manifolds that'll bolt up just fine, though now I need to figure out how to connect them to the rest of my pipes...
Pretty sure the headers are Dynomax(BIG thanks to the people here who helped me figure that out!), but the exhaust is NOT stock.
How would I go about finding out what I need pipe wise to hook them up?
I'm pretty set on the manifolds... need something that works for the time being and doesn't fume out the cab.
