Having trouble finding many close up views of bumper fitment on a 1” body lift. Plenty of over all pictures but Im having a hard time seeing how noticeable it is with the lines between body and also bumper to grill and tailgate. I have an 85 K5 but any second gen would be helpful.

My blazer is about to get paint and the whole while I’m in there thing is coming up. Strongly considering 1” ORD mounts and polys. Mostly mall crawler duty on nice days. Not DD or wheeled hard. 99% on a 4” tc lift from ORD with 33 or 35 12.50’s. I like the idea of a bit more clearance for wrenching on and routing stuff like exhaust. Plus more clearance for tires. I know with even mall crawling Im borderline with 5” lift on 35 12.50’s and no rub possible so best to clip front fenders a bit so I dont get into freshly painted metal.

Any other thing Im not thinking of or reason to go with a 1” body lift?

Feels good to be back at CK5 and actually making progress on the blazer. Thanks in advance!

The extra clearance is worth the gap. I'll try and get some pics later when I head out to the shop.

And if I remember right, the tailgate assist springs go to the back bumper
I believe someone makes bumper lift brackets too, no?

Thanks. Tailgate springs, and linkage for auto trans only thing that needs to get monkeyed with right?

Don’t hate me but looks is a big deal to me on this build:crazy::haha:

my k30 build . body not perfect level yet so filler panel is close to bumper yet .

1" body hard to tell to the un trained person . but as said make a TON of more more to wrench under the truck later .

filler panel gets close to bumper and the center bolt might hit . if so swap it for a button head allen bolt for more room .

did a 1.5" body lift and had to remove the tail gate springs no way around it easy . but a 1" body lift you might be good . but i play with trucks my self and only did the 1 blazer build for a guy .

Forgot that the lower shroud was mentioned in previous posts. That will self clearance on start up though right? :haha:

Those pictures are helpful.
