After all this messaging and PM'ing on the trip out east...I finally clicked on your build thread...wow, nice work. I'm a little behind you though. Anyway, if you are looking for extra goodies for your rig you should contact the guy in Illinois that I gave you the contact info on. He told me he has a bunch of other stuff that he is parting out off of his rig. :dunno: It might be worth checking out while you are up there.

Apparently he built his M1008 and then rolled it and slammed a tree soon after. Now he is building an S-10 beast and has no need for the parts on his M1008 rig.

Good job, see you soon.

Well only a couple small things to report. Between those trips back east an getting caught up on side work, I've only had bits of time to do anything. Sent all my DIY4X stuff that I got from Keith out for powder coat. :thumb: I went and got the ford e-van pitman arm that is claimed to work with crossover steering. It's getting reamed to 1 Ton TRE right now. While that's out, figured I'd get the 2wd box drilled and tapped for hydro assist. All I have for pics so far.

It was an easier job than I expected.

space between your pics Geoff!!!!

good stuff man.

Lol I posted from my phone and this tapatalk app does whatever it wants with them!

So the fuse/relay box I got from the JY a while back.... Out of a early 90's Chrysler. I like this one for its simplistic layout. 10 large fuses, 10 relays.

It has the spade terminals in it for the relays. I can't find these anywhere:dunno:

I tried these with no luck.

Would rather have the correct style that locks in the right way. I will not butt splice all the wires on to what's there. Anyone have any ideas where to get the correct style?

You can reuse the same ones.
I usualy pull them out, open the ends, and put the new wires in.

Got all my DIY4X stuff back from powder coat I know... Not a very fun picture, but I don't wanna unwrap it till its install time

I understand that most of the time for hydro assist, we need the 2"x8" ram. Would it be ok to install a 2"x10" and mount it accordingly with an extra 1" on each end of the steering? (I understand my steering will limit itself before the end of the stroke) or will this create a problem with the extra 2"? Thanks in advance!

As far as I know yes you want your ram to bottom out around the same time as your steering. Not sure officially why but I am not sure I would like the ram having that much more space to continue to try and turn.

I think you'll want to stick with an 8" ram. That extra 2" of travel with 3000psi of pressure can surely damage a knuckle

Thanks! I'll have to have him measure it again. He claims it came off a 60, but it was a rock jock 60..
