Not so much the voltage, but to enable both low beam and high beam the same time. Right now its one or the other, not both. They make some kit or I think you can do it yourself with a relay or two.shouldnt need relay mod with led stuff as most are 9-10 volt and up . relay for high and low yes .

when i did mine on my old truck with the 89-91 nose i did the relay mod since i was still running old bulbs . i made the headlights trigger the relays to feed the headlights . then the 3rd relay for high = all option . also ran my power wire off the alt stud to keep it short .
i also had a 4th relay to swap power from headlights to plow lights that got a little wierd wiring that up .
Those are neat. Where did you get them? First thought I had was a cover for the positive. Couple of times I've accidentally touched a wrench to the positive and core support. Anymore I always buy dual post batteries too.
Still need to get the grille on and paint over the lettering on the hood since its longer a BBC.
