The power steering pulley having 3 grooves tells me that it's off of some other truck, possibly a medium duty. But if it lines up, then run it.
I now see that you have a long water pump. This is only a problem if you use the factory fan shroud. The fan will be too deep into it and there could be interference problems with the alternator. I don't remember for sure.

If you have it, don't forget the spacer on the long bolt going through the lower alternator mounting hole into the head.

The brake line junction isn't a problem in my mind, as long as it is all sealed when you get to bleeding brakes.

Seems to be good brakes are already bled and holding.

I have an after market spacer but it doesn't quite fit between the block and alternator bracket. Previously they had just a piece of all thread for the lower bolt.
As far as i can tell I don't have a fan shroud in any of my remaining boxes of parts

You may be able to cut or grind the spacer down, I can't tell for sure, of course. The idea of it is to help stabilize the alternator, obviously.

Think it'd hurt anything to tap in in gently with a rubber mallet?

That's fine, unless it throws the belt alignment out of wack. They will take a little misalignment, but can be noisy sometimes. Too far out and you can toss a belt off.

That is definitely not the stock alternator, looks like 100 amp plus self regulated. 1 gens had external regs and at best 63 amp

Its also got an HEI distrubtor.
Id love to find some original seats as well as brackets. these things are hideous AND mounted ahead of the original seat mounting holes.

Or a list of vehicles I can steal the seats and brackets from

He already had it running with the newer alternator I know that much at least. I got to see it running years ago before he tore it down. Just wished I was there for the tear down

Lossening all bolts allowed me to fit the spacer in with ease no hammer required lol
