Are you doing the Roscommon12V conversion?View attachment 523123
Starter was waiting when I got home from work yesterday. Went ahead and put it on last night. Im working outside on the ground and we are “supposed” to be getting some rain. So I wanted to get it put on so I wouldn’t be laying in mud hopefully. Didn’t get to work on the 12 volt conversion as much as I wanted while off work and/or this weekend. Had to run some errands etc. So hopefully it’s not raining to much or any at all after work and I can continue working on it.
Yeah. Are you doing the Roscommon12V conversion?
Cheaper starters, getting rid of the 24v to 12v reducer on the firewall behind the air cleaner. The glow plugs are 12v and sometimes the system craps out and sends 24v to the Gp's.What's the advantage of the 12v conversion? I'm still 24v.
then you are GTG.OK, thanks. My glow plug resistor had already been deleted, and I have the dog head relay mod, so no worries there.

On the other hand an upside to staying oem is 24v gear reduction starters sure turn the 6.2 over quickly!![]()
Once the fuel gets to the injection pump you want to plug the pink wire in so put some pressure to the injectors, otherwise all you get is a little wetness.Well, finished up the conversion yesterday. Got it cranking. Had to leave for the evening.
Working on it today. It just cranks. I can’t get it to start. Doesn’t even try, just cranks. I never did get it started after I done the spin on fuel filter. The charging issue had already killed the batteries. Then it set for quite a while.
I cracked the bleeder screw on top of the filter housing and unplugged the pink wire on the injection pump. Cranked it over and I’m getting fuel out of the bleeder. I have cracked all 8 injector lines at the injectors and cranked it and all it does is crank. Im not getting much of any fuel out of the lines but they do seem “wetter” than what they were.
Do I just need to keep cranking it? Or is there a better way to maybe bleed the injection pump? Im assuming if I’m not getting a lot or any fuel really out of the lines at the injectors then maybe I’m not getting fuel through the injection pump?

I usually get at least 4 injectors then I start it.
But the first time I got all 8 wet and it started right up. Now with turbo some are hard to get to.
It's possible that ip is not good anymore.Sorry, I should’ve said I did plug the pink wire back in and tried cranking again. Still nothing but cranks over.
