Progress

Holy cow! that thing looks way bigger outside! Your gonna have to get some more parts for us to throw at it........oh yeah it looks like your rear shocks are loose:rolleyes:

Did you have Red help you get it outside or was he too busy with his router? :haha:

Red's Router

I think Red's Router finally burned out, or the state came and took it away from him...

I had to air down the tires and we dislodged the garage door, :haha:but it's out.

The 14 bolt still needs welded up... Shocks too... There's alot that still needs done, and if you didn't have to go get... well, we coulda made some more progress!

I think the Boggers are gonna be too small.

The Plan

The shop is now clean and I sold a ton of bowls so... Tomorow at 6AM we start rewiring, 4 wheel disk, install HAD shafts and E-brake, 1 ton master cylindar and booster. oh and maybe the guage cluster:rolleyes:

DFS,

Nice work selling bowls to finance your addiction. :waytogo:

Maybe there's a way to monetize all those wood shavings too? Sell them to someone with a hamster maybe?

I always like it when I can sell off unwanted parts to get cash to keep my build going....it feels like I'm getting my new parts for FREE.

Wish, I get too agravated with people and too impatient. Igive all my parts to bigbadchev and he deals with the masses

Woodchips go a good friend who runs the local Organic CSA, she mulches with them and mixes them in her compost. All the cut offs and scrap go to my Pastry Chef she burns them for a heat source and I give her a couple cords a year of hard wood...

I just hate dealing with all the Yahoos that call about a set of Swampers on Craigs List...

contains actual Progress

Justin, aka bigbadchev, has come up the last 2 weekends to give me a hand on the Jimmy. We start at 6AM and work till we absolutely have to stop, or nobody is getting any Vitamin V for a while. We have battled, rain, the parts guy missing it by only 1 number, flaky baby sitters, 1st graders with the flu, wives that knew WTF the budget was supposed to be a year ago... and it rained when we had to push it outta the shop to pull the axels out...

So what did we get done  alot!

I don't know how to post pictures with text in between so heres all the pictures and then I'll tell ya.

esplaining

So The beast barely fits in the garage. Tha cage is out and we got the little wheels on the front aired way down... The boggers give it a little attitude and you should see all the Jeeps that drive by real slow.:D

Alright so apparantly all of those jumpers weren't the best way... and we had to open up the hole for the fuse block but from my end the Painless wiring kit went in really smooth. I was doing the brakes while Justin did the wiring:laugh:. He did a lot of sottering and heat shrinking but didn't cuss much, did I tell you he's an electrician, a very well fed electrician.

We got all the one tone booster and Master Cylinder and brake stuff in, and that'll be a different write-up with part #'s and such but basically I did AJ's booster upgrade with new everything but the pedal, DIY$X rear 14 bolt disk went in super easy just a touch with the grinder, and I'm buttooning up the front now with new rotors calipers and pads, and a little grinding for the 15" rims.

Oh Yea, I put the shaft in and wow, I'm f'n impressed and Justin even said wow nice shaft!:haha:Jeese over at HAD did an awesome job came in under budget and got them out the door earlier than promised. Jeese Rocks! Drive line brake went right in and hooking up tjhe original PB cable shouldn't be that tricky.

Oh back to the wiring, the truck has blinkers for the first time in forever and the dash looks pretty tough with the new gauges, LEDS work great, and I have Duck Fat Sally coming for the center hole. Justin Fabbed up a little switch panel for the heaters. I'm gonna run seperate front and back heaters, the front will be dedicated o defrost and the rear to keeping the kids shiver free.

There was a ton of other stuff that got done but that's most of thebig exciting stuff...

oh yea

and we did a quick and effective patch on the fire wall so the wife doesn't get a blast of hot air on her leg everytime the fan kicks on...:wink1:

It was late, and I was trying to do everything
off my iPhone... But it's still sloppy posting. There has got to be a better way to do the pictures. When I preview the post I still only get to see text and them I put it up and. Violla, wrong f'n picture.

But other than that what do you think? Greg are you trying to say, "wow, you guys kick a$$!"

Yep. You guys kick ass.

I can only imagine what sort of food you guys get to eat during projects like this...my guess is it's quite a bit better than the greasy, cold pizza I'm typically stuck with.
