Thanks for the praise guys. Got one of the wheel openings cut and mocked up today.

I have to admit... by this time, i felt like i was doing something illegal by cutting up virgin sheetmetal! :hack: :hack: :hack:











any bets on how this is gonna turn out? :D
 
looks s gonna turn out to be great!.. im watching this thread for some ideas:D
 
got one of the patch panels fabbed and welded in today.

getting then just perfect takes alot of grinding, fitting, and patience.



busted my favoritist clamp...



 
i just tried to tighten it too much, just to be sure it wasnt going to walk when i put the sharp bends in it.

This is just awesome. I love how you're taking the time to give it a finished look and not just painting over the cut-out hole. That's looking top notch so far. :bow:

well, got the sheel opening shaped, now just gotta trim the outside so i can butt it up against the stock sheetmetal and weld it in.























 
looking good. now does it stick out off the side a little or is it just my imagination? (like a fender flare)

did you test fit it after you welded the seams up to see if it maybe warped a little? not like you couldn't fix, it just asking
