I forget, but if you have a visor on the cab, take it off. It kills milage.
Wait, Ben don't you already have all the parts you need for the swap anyway?

Maybe when I`m more financially secure/established, etc, I`ll consider another DD, and throw Antique Plates on the rig, but for now, this is it.
In all honesty, although I`m sure I would save some money, I don`t drive enough to even justify doing it. I mean, my round trip to work is only 15-20 miles
It will get build as is, according to the current plans, and I`ll see what I end up with.

Since I`m most likely fighting a lost cause to get more mileage of the rig, and because I`d like to enjoy driving it, it will get built as plannedOk, I'm lost...
Built or back to stock?![]()

Yeah, I kinda figured that...which was pretty obvious at first, but I somehow overlooked it...I`ll just do my best to get the best out of what I got...Your only going to get x amount of gas milage outta a truck with the aerodynamics of a brick, even if you went to stock it wouldnt be that great, hell my 02 chevy only gets 16mpg
Tom
Shifter was a piece a cake, took all of maybe 20 minutes. I can`t wait to use it in the rig. As for the shackles, I had them drilled out to work with the holes that are already on the front of the frame. $80, IIRC.Dang I love that shifter setup on your 700R4. How hard was it to set that up? And do those clevis mounts bolt to the factory spots for the front hooks? How much did Kert charge ya for those?
