Well, all the mounts I needed to take off are gone, unfortunately, so is my hearing

Just about ready to start cleaning/painting the frame up. My neighbors son in law came over and said I should sand blast it, so now he`s got me thinking, haha.

I was able to pull the rest of the lines and wires, pulled the tcase off, since I`m not running a stock bumper, I went ahead and just hacked the frame off so it stops right before the funky bend. The I pulled the tranny/tcase and motor mounts, and all 4 shocks. The only thing I cant figure out it the lines that come off the L brackets on the frame, that go the calipers in the front, and the T fitting in the rear.

Here`s how it sits:

Man I wish I had the time and money to tear mine down that far. It would be sandblasted and powder coated, then reassembled.

Looking good, I like seeing the progress.

Yeah, it`s pretty much turned into a case of "might as well". Since I was bringing it down to the frame to put the cab on it, I "might as well" rip everything else off and replace it :rolleyes:

The money, yeah, its a little expensive, but I`m doing my best to deal with it. The reason why progress has been taking so long, is because up until now I`ve been working part time, taking in pretty much just enough to cover my bills and rent.

Now that I`m working full time, I`m able to buy a good amount of parts.

I`d say, as a high estimate, I have another $2000 or so to spend. Still need the intake, carb, cam/lifter kit, dizzy, brake/fuel/tranny lines, tv cable, rest of my gauges, metal for flatbed, and other misc. stuff. If it ends up being that much, it will be atleast another month before i get close to finishing it.

I`m doing my best. Got some stuff to sell, including my S10 (which I planned on selling after my rig was finished)

I`ll definitely be looking into that insurance where they pay for an "agreed upon" value. Need to save all my reciepts......

I've gotta look into insurance soon myself. Save all your recipts even though you're gonna be scared to tally them up.

I never sandblasted my frame I just used chassis saver. Min was in rough shape. Bad rust in some places, and caked on undercoating in others. If you can sandblast for cheap I'd do it, otherwise not. If I start cracking my frame a lot (when I go rockwells :D) I'm gonna sandblast another junkyard frame and box it. Then swap everything over.
