How and why did the titling change?? I'm curious about this in case I get in trouble over an engine swap...

It's 25 years for us. So my '86 needs to become an '83 (or else I can just keep it titled in non-Communist Tennessee).

25 years here, but only in Clark, Pierce, Thurston, King, and Spokane County's... no emissions for me

haha i win in wisconsin they just changed the law. 95' and older dont need emissions. and that was effective july 1st.

not sure when it`s effective, but I believe Massachussetts has done away with the sniffer for non OBDII vehicles....They did that last year in Illinois
Why did yours get retitled Ben?
Here its 67 and older don't need it but only in three counties, dumbest rule in the state. If I lived 10 miles north of me I don't need emissions, cuz the emissions stay in the county you live in

I herd that veh. older than 95 wont need emissions in MA. But i dont know when thats going to go into effect. I dont care really, i have an 81 and a 75 truck, and my 02 chevy does fine

Another update for you guys.
Been working on it whenever I get a chance, and when money allows for more parts.
Here`s some of the parts that came in this morning.
2 new gauges, water temp and oil pressure (had the speedo and tach already)
B&M Stacked Plate transmission cooler
some bling for my rear 14BSF
and last but not least, aluminum radiator from summit with internal transmission cooler...
Here`s what`s been done since the last update:
Cab lights wired and mounted
Rear brake lines assembled
and installed
new water pump painted and installed, as well as a fuel pump
Radiator support mounts I got from a member, painted, and bolted up
and last but not least, I got this the other day, the x-member for the pickup cab to mount up with, from trucknutzdude, thanks again!

I just thought that you should have put in ORD's engine xmember when the engine was out. But there's never an end to what you can do to these trucks.

The doors are manual, and in primer. I still need to put my weatherstrip in, and do the final adjustments on the doors...
