Update for what`s been done the past week. Been raining all week, but today was beautiful, so I couldn`t pass up the chance. X-members in, and all 4 body mounts are in and snugged up. Finished up the brake lines today, not bad once I got the front lines in place. Ended up needing to remove the steering brace. Only thing thats not done on the brake lines, is mounting them to the calipers as I want to paint them. Also got the Q JET mounted up today.
It`s getting there! I`ll let the pics speak for themselves....
Every thing seemed to line up for the most part with the front section of the main line like this, so this is how it went, keep in mind the lines aren`t mounted to the frame yet.

When I bought the cab, and it had brand new shells on it. I had originally planned on using the power doors from my blazer and putting manual regulators in, but my buddy picked these manual doors (what I wanted anyways) from a swap meet. He needed to replace one of his power doors, so to rid of the aggrivation on both of our behalfs, we just did an even trade.

Update of all I`ve been able to get done. Once the stuff due in this week gets here, alot more can be done. I`m getting pretty motivated, unfortunately is for a reason no one should have to deal with.
Anyways, I`ll let the pics speak for themselves, for the most part. The real of hose on the waterpump is my vent line from the tank, just need to do the final fit. Got the clamps in for the brake lines, so they`re mounted to the frame. All the other fuel lines are ran, except for pump to carb, as I need to get the right fittings. New door seals are in, cable brackets on. Maybe more, don`t remember,

Scuffed and masked the firewall and inner fenders. 3M Undercoated the firewall, and semi flatted the inner fenders. All I did for prep was clean/scuff, so if there were deep scratches before, there still is
lookin good, so when do the fenders go on?

Well I took a little vacation this week, with hopes of my buddy coming down all week, but he`s busy today and tomorrow. So, Wednesday and Thursday he`ll be here. So one of those days. We`re going to try to do a few more little things to the motor before we toss it on, though. Even though he`s not coming down Tuesday, his dad is stopping by after work with the welder to weld the x member on from me
So today and tomorrow I`ll do what I can get done. I got to paint my new 14bsf cover and get that in. Put my BTO lockup kit in the tranny. Bunch of misc. stuff.

Progress!
Got the Distributor in finally, and tried to adjust the rockers (need to look up how exactly your supposed to do it)
Got the new cover on the rear axle, obviously painted it before hand.
Then we did the body. What a chore that was. For a while, nothing was lining up good. Gaps were WAY off. Tops of the fenders were really narrow, bottoms were huge. Having known the truck had been hit before I got it, we checked out the front of the frame. We came to the conclusion that the passenger side mount was infact a tad higher, even after compressing the radiator support mounts as tight as we could. So we torched it up, and played with it until it matched the other side. It helped quite a bit, but it just wasn`t enough.
So we kept thinking, and looking at it, and what we came up with was the middle of the body needed to come up some, due to the fact the cross member we put in sat a little high. That`s when we stopped on Wednesday, since I was going back with my buddy and his dad to their place in NH.
Today we jacked the middle of the body up, got the washers in there, and it brought it right up, and the lines were pretty good. So for the rest of the day me and my buddy messed around with the panels a little. Shimmed the fenders out in spots, readjusted the whole front clip then worked on the hood. After about 20 minutes with it, we realized it was impossible to get good lines. It just wouldn`t line up, when it was all the way down, the passenger side was sticking up above the fender. It was an aftermarket hood that was on the other truck I bought for the cab, so I put the hood that was on my original truck back on, and it looked great. So we got the latch in, made sure it worked, adjusted it so the lines on the hood were good when it shut, and thats when we called it quits. We would`ve kept working, but we had to go help his dad get some cut down trees out of the woods for firewood.
So thats where it sits!

yeah you'll never get them perfect, especially if you've got any aftermarket pieces. It aint a show truck anyhow. But it sure is pretty. I should be takin my trazer wheelin for the first time sunday so stay tuned for pics.

I also got the crossmember welded on for the back of the cab, just forgot to take a pic of it.

here`s how the gap looked like with it mounted on the radiator support, and only the top mount on the cab
decided to just toss the hood on (this is the one that came on the red truck, an aftermarket peice, with when it was on the red truck, looked pretty good.

after we got fed up with the other hood, we tossed the hood that was on the truck when it was a blazer
put one of the drip rail moldings on real quick, looks pretty decent, but I may get the painted either black, or same color as the cab
