well i just sat here and read this entire thread. it has went from one end of the spectrum to the other. i cant believe that no one on here mentioned groundhawgs for tires. i run 40 inchers and love them. they do great. as far as the 1/2 ton stuff. yeah i would upgrade now. once u get married its becomes yall's money. then you have to explain why u spent that much money and then its her turn to spend some money. i wish i could have started building my truck when i was in high school. there was no time though as i was playing ball all year round. i will say this though. make up yoru mind what you want to do and then set a long term goal with some short term goals in between. i cant say that i built mine right cause i am not done and wont be til i get back from this big ass sand box. i have learned from my mistakes though. big block, 40's and 1/2 ton running gear dont go together. You gotta good start on your truck. your right it aint going to be done next week. so just save some money and get er done right the first time then you wont have to replace that axle that you would have broken down the line. all in all, your on the right track. i will be keeping up with this thread now since i sat here and read the whole thing. like joe dirt always said, "you gotta keep on keeping on"
