Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

Well, after sitting in one for about a half hour, I`ve made up my mind to return them, completely. They are very comfortable seats, but from someone who fits inbetween the two side supports better :o After about 20 minutes, I really started feeling the bars in the sides of the seat support...

Sorry to suprise ya like that, then rip it away from ya:rolleyes:

Oh well . That will happen from time to time. Where are you going to order seat's from this time then?
Well, I`m thinking about getting 1 of PRPs daily driver seats.

I actually sat in the stock passenger seat that was in my truck, which is in my kitchen because I took them out to do some interior stuff, and its more comfortable than the Hunsakers.

My stock seats are nice, except the drivers side is worn pretty bad, where it hurts to get in and out...

Glad to hear it, no reason to settle for wrong seats. Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing it done.

hmmm, had never heard of those Hunsakers..

I'll be ordering my PRP's later this week... I'm getting the Rhino High Backs... black tweed centers, orange vinyl sides, black vinyl on the rest.. like these, but orange instead of the gray..

getting the extra wide too... PRP definitely seems to be the most wallet-friendly out there... Beards are sweet, but get pricey in a hurry...

How wide is the extra wide version of those? I`m looking at either a DD, or an Xtra Wide Premeir

Well, talked to my buddys dad, who is the one actually doing the welding of the tailpan, tailgate posts, and bedfloor. I told him of my plans to put the gas tank in the bed, and he thinks I should just leave the tank where it is, and after seeing how big the tank really is, I can see why he said that. Its going to take up about 1/2 the bed of the blazer:eek1:

So, the tank is just going to have to come down. Is there anything that I should replace while its out, IE straps or bolts, etc...

Good idea to replace the sending unit at the same time. Over time they get warped and don't read accurately, plus it is a good time to do it while the tank is out. Much better to do it now, than to wait until there is an issue and you have to drop the tank more than half full.

Alright. I`m in NH for a few days, doing quite a few things to the rig. First, I met up with tomford and picked up my pickup cab wall and another tailgate that is rust free and works. So, hopefully I`ll be leaving here on Sunday with replaced tailgate posts, tail pan, and bed floor. Oh, and did I forget to mention, a p/u?:D

Pics to follow!

oh and i got some zero rates from ben too...

Ben, if that tailgate dosent work, i have another one i just got yesterday, you can sawp em out if you want

:doah: :doah: I hope that tailgate works.......

Well, unfortunately, we haven`t even started working on the rig yet:( But, tomorrows the day. My buddys dad finally got the welder back from his buddy, so tomorrow we`ll be doing the tailpan, bed floor, and tailgate posts. I don`t mind, as thats the bulk of the work, and pretty much all I need help doing. The P/U tailgate is easy enough, and I want to do my own thing with the pickup cab wall...but, we`ll see what tomorrow brings;)

So I've been away for a week, did I miss something, is Ben getting a pickup?

hahaha

Haven`t got too much done too it, unfortunately. We basically got the tailgate off, and the rear bed floor cut out, and one of the tailgate posts. I`m trying to find the metal piece behind the taillights now, the piece that bolts to the tailpan.
