Project 82 TCBF -10.13.9 - progress!!!

an almost complete shot

I need to now decide where to put all my switches....any suggestions?

I say put the switches in a line right under neath the radio hole :wink1:

BTW Ben, love the dash, I might have to do one at some point on my truck. Like I told you before, if only Kert came out with this before I redid my dash...

EDIT: hey so you ever think of clear coating it? You know to protect the aluminum.

to be honest, no. I don't think it will be too big an issue, though. I mean, it took 15 New England winters to oxidize the aluminum sill plates in the blazer

Little bit of Isopropyl alcohol is good for cleaning the dashes. Careful around the plastic parts though. Not sure how they'd react too it.

Otherwise something like 409 will probably work as well.

Looks good Ben!!

Hmm looks great, depending on how many switches you have or need the steering collum cover looks lik it has lost of room to put some there and they would be out of the way.

Dang now I want one.

Dash looks great Ben !!! Of course now you've got me thinking about one for mine :doah:, where are you going to mount the heater? I'm going to be using the same one and I had a location and setup picked out withthe stock dash, curious to see what you do with it.

The truck is definetly coming along great, you have done an awesome job , should be fun (driving it) when the snow starts flying :D

I really wish you hadn't posted that, just one more thing I really want to get from Kert.

That turned out really nice Ben.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

i'm also thinking a Blazer tank may have to find it's way back under the frame of this bitch...I'm just finding the fuel cell to be too small, as well as taking up too much space on the bed...maybe when I remake the flat bed out of the metal I got...we'll see

Definitely. When the Blazer was on the road, that was the funnest thing to do, I loved it!

Someone please kill this thought quick. Am I retarted for considering sticking the propane in there, just for the peace of mind (as far as fuel delivery goes, I've been told it's the next step down from fuel injection) My trips can go anywhere from 0-150 miles one way, I figure I'll get ~100 per tank, I have two tanks. Long trips MAY be a problem, but for how often I'd go that far, it's not that big of a deal. Would it be worth it to not have the possible future aggrivation from the carb?

and the jury says?

(the only reason I bring this back up, is because I'm having trouble selling it)

I say it could be a good thing, but first figure out where your furthest trips would be and call around and see if it is possible to get refueled in those areas. I would let that be your deciding factor. Otherwise stick with the carb. Just see if someone can help you figure them out a little better and maybe rebuild a few junk yard ones.

The hell with you Glenn! lol

Yep, still got a truck. The only thing that remains to be finished is gauge wiring and final carb/timing adjustments, and then make my way to the insurance company, RMV. ****ty part is, is that is all I've had to do for the past month. :doah:
