There is smaller/ flat tires on the pass. side. And the pass side is also downhill were it is.
ok cool :wink1: at least urs is lifted.. mine not yet..

Well I got the drive shafts cut down and welded up today at work. I am going to use the rear shaft from the K20, and an old 75 K5 rear shaft up front. I still remember, cut the rear down 23" , and the front 5.5".:haha: I can't wait to get them it! Them brakes and steering.:doah:

Well today sucked! I pulled the inner fenders out, and installed the gas tank. I flexed the front end with a jack, and jack stands to check out the drive shaft, that I have to redo. But that will wait. And I was not 100% happy with the flex. I might also push the axel back a inch or so, I don't think I like it so far foward.

So then I remembered that the 75 said limited slip front and rear in the glove box. I pulled the cover, and it is just a open diff.. So I decided to pull the cover off the front axel under the RK. Soon as I laid down I realized it was a 10B. Dumba$$ me!
And it has 3.73 open diff in it also. happy, happy. So I might take a walk through a junk yard or two, and see what I can find.

Chas, I might just go after those axels. But I think they are overkill for me. But I'll check them out better at lunch tomorrow.

For some reason I would run a D44, but am unhappy with a 10B. I don't know why. Maybe I'll trip over a D60. I know Three good spots to look.

But I aslo pulled the cover off the 12B I have laying around. It's got a Eaton coil-spring-type limited-slip. I've been kicking around tossing that and the d44 under the skyyk5.

It will probably flex better if you center the axle on the springs, that and real world puts a lot more pressure on it. For some reason I could rub the rear tires on the inside of the rear wheelwell in the rocks but not on a RTI ramp.

I'll be jealous if you get those axles but you are closer and I already have 1 tons. It's a lot of work to fit them though, and your newly bought 40's(37's) will look puny.

I don't think I want those axels though, might just check them out. I don't know what I want to do right now. I might take a day off to think it out.

just go get them, put them in storage and swap them with me for 1 tons and parts. then we can both have a truck in pieces. but if I give you my 1 tons you will be wheeling next month while I'm fitting the bastard axles.:doah:
