Project "Blazer". Won 3rd place, this thread is done!

if they are truly 12" wide they are gonna be to wide for the tires you have. you might not even be able to get them to seat. unless you buy some internal locks.

even then the tire will look weird on the rim and probably handle funny.

I'll check them out this coming week. I hope to pick up the bike monday, so tuesday I'll take a ride to see what the rims are. My friend that has a racecar knows someone that splits rims and rewelds them. He uses him to take two crap rims to make one good one. He's going to check to see if he'll do truck rims also. I know to have the racecar rims done it's cheap, and I have a bunch of dually rims kickin around. Could have him widen then but towards the side that sticks out. I'll figure something different out, or just buy some. LOL. Not worried about rims yet, need it to steer and stop first.

new rims are not that much and you have that high paying job.
I'm still have no job till Monday. I've been laid off since before Christmas. Kind of sucks, with the new job I will not be able to make the cash on the side, and I'm starting lower than I have made in seven years.

sneak some tracks out the backdoor of your new job. :D that thing would be unstoppable then.

Went to get those rims, they would be perfect is there was more than 2. but I grabbed the two that were there. Then this morning I found out that the K5 needs to move by Sunday! Cr@p!! I picked up all the calipers and pads today, hope to get hoses tomorrow. Crossover should be on it's way soon. I have a friend looking for a set of rims to borrow. Rich ,I might need to borrow your old set of rims for a day.Well got to get working on it now.

got all the calipers and pads on. Got all the brake line pieces measured up, going to get them made tomorrow. My friend started to put the dash together and get the pass seat ready to be put back in. Another friend found 2 more rims for me, should be here tomorrow. I hope the crossover gets here by friday. I'll be happy to have it good enough by sunday morn., then I can spend more time on it.

Well I dropped off the brakes lines to be made, need to pick them up after work tomorrow. Got the front driveshalf in today, and the seats/ console. Also played with the twin stick I made and tried to set it up. But I need to pick up some stuff for it. If it's rainning tomorrow, I'm going to get it towed, or trailered to my friends garage.

Got the front brake lines done, and 50% of the back. Went to get the other 2 rims, but they were not wide enough.

Today I finished up the brakes, mounted the tires (I got 4 more rims today) then put the tires on the truck. I hope tomorrow I'll blead the brakes, and weld up some steering to use for a day. Soon as the K5 moves on it's own then the build ( and this tread) is done. The rest is upgrades.

And it is no longer called "Roadkill", my friends and I call it just the "grey Blazer" or the "Quarry Critter" since it was build in my quarry.

Well she was not done for today so I had to take the blue K5. But I got some daylight pics with tires, and one of the blue K5 when it was still clean. Now the blue one needs a bath and a rear bumper.

Thats the clean pics. Here is some dirty.:doah: It looks worse right now since it had to go up and down the hill twice since these pics were taken. But I took it to work today, since it's my second week there I figured I'd give them a reason to talk about me. But I did get to tell them it was my little blazer. Well gotta go spend $30+ dollars at the car wash now.
