Project cheap tow rig, 94 cummins...

Is there seriously only 2 leafs plus the add a leaf in that rear pack? :eek1:

My 95 donor truck was the same way :dunno:, in comparison my 00 has some monster packs under it with the multiple leaf over load/ helper spring set up.

thats ghay. I guess my 12v trucks never stayed together long enough for me to notice....... :doah:

but seriously thats ghay.............. I say start stacking leafs.

.........I've got the F450 rear leafs in my garage still from that '06 I stripped. man it makes that look like a 1986 chevy Malibu rear pack. just sayin

Yeah it's a concern. I think there is actually 3

I was thinking either an add a leaf or going to find some 3500 springs

Exhaust is done, Welded it instead of clamping it, it doesn't feel so sloppy now

I bought the 7" tip from my friend for $5, I love it, makes it sound a little deeper also. The bottom is dented though

what the plan there?

My '94 is the same exact way and I'm concerned about it as well. I love how smooth it rides but I think once I get some tongue weight on my trailer it's going to hate life.

My plan is bags, that way I can keep the smooth ride but add the bags in when I need them. Might be an option for you too howdiy. Plus it gives you an excuse to add some OBA. :waytogo:

My truck came with air bags, but the bags are kind of dry rotted and leak down slowly.

We will see if they have to go back on

Bed is about done, the cab need barely any body work but we bought the bed and it was well used

WTF is wrong with me, picking up a dana 60 out of an 01 this weekend :screwy:

its a 2wd currently? The unit bearing ones aren't terrible. And can be had for cheap. But you have to get rid of the cad. For sure.

There's a couple kits to retro the. Unit bearings to lockout. You can get 35 spine outters if you want. A couple buds have them up here. Sweet kits. Not cheap but awesome.

They're decent diffs. I don't care what anyone says. I was putting north of 1200ftlb through my old one. I used it off-pavement. With a stick.

The kits are nice for a package deal but if you're patient '92-'96 SRW F350 knuckles out fit the stock dodge C's which gives you the same thing as the kits but cheaper.

If you click the link I posted, there is a guy that used his dodge knuckles with re drilled d50 stuff.

It seems like everything should be relatively easy to make, just going to be a decent amount for the bushings. I'm not sure what I want to run for the big back joint yet.

Track bar seems like it could be a PITA but I'm not sure because I saw a kit with a straight one.

Upper buckets should be a little tricky, I think I'm going to have to have some stuff cnc cut.

Weld on panhard mount like this

If I use some beef material I should be able to bend it if necessary with my poo pipe kinker

Radius arms, probably around 40" I want to keep the mount where the frame is still boxed

Radius big joint at the Frame. Evolution machine & fabrication Frankenheim. No question there.

Dynatrac makes a free spin kit for the dodges, but they were are no where near a cheap price.

Nice truck for a base project, 12v with a p7100 pump you cant go wrong there! My work has a 10.5 second race truck that started out as a same 12v 2500 2wd truck like yours.
