Project cheap tow rig, 94 cummins...

2h7p9vr.jpg

I just put power flip out towing mirrors on my 97 last week. Love them.

No power on this thing, I'm just glad I don't have to hand crank the engine :haha:

I should be trying out some 305/55/r20's next week when I get back. They look pretty good

Hopefully the rest of the stuff that needs to get painted will get painted this week; grill, gas door, tailgate.

Got the headlights in with new bulbs and my gooseneck hitch ball installed

Bumper is on its way. I also have grey door panels coming, so I'll be dying the whole interior

test fitting the grill

I found some 275/65r20 load range e goodyear a/t tires used on craigslist, hopefully I can get those Monday if they didn't sell yesterday. Then I'll get the bling bling wheels after that. They are a 34" tire, hopefully they fit

The grill bezel looks good, did you strip it first or paint over the factory "chrome"?

Also where are you guys buying those mirrors?

I bought a black grill off ebay for $40 shipped

I got the mirrors through mopar, $220 with the plates, thats wholesale though

20x10 with 305/55r20

The tires are too big and I think the wheels are too wide. It's a shame since I really like the lip

Man you need to make those work. Leveling kits are cheap... just saying.

has a leveling kit already,

Howdiy, get some H2's and be done with it The bling wheels take away from an otherwise clean looking truck

I've got one chrome H2 wheel, it looked decent.

I think I'm going to with with 20x9 of those wheels in black. Those 20x10's have a -24 offset which is an inch so it sticks out way too much.

I may be able to get a 305/55r20 to work on the narrower not as offset wheels

I'm looking into getting a taller leveling kit, I read where someone got the front to be taller than the rear. I haven't looked at how much down travel it has right now

I think if I can get them sit almost flush with the fender I should be able to fit them

Here is the wheel and tire, I imagine that is the 14 offset wheel

I'm almost considering this, I measured today and I have probably 4" more of down travel left and the front is 2" lower up front

I would get a small poly spacer for the upper coil bucket and use the aluminum spacer on the bottom, the top bucket is deep and the spring would still be an 1" easily in it.

I'm not sure yet though

Edit: I think the 3" billet spacers on ebay may do the trick. I sent an email asking the height of the spacer to all the sellers with them listed, hopefully someone responds

The dash is pretty much done, just need to install the antenna tomorrow and then I can put the glove box door on. Had to make a gauge glass since the other are discontinued.

Ready for a gooseneck

I need to go get u bolts to hold them to the spring though, I had to cut them off my crew cab

The wheels are back ordered for a month

Unless I can fit 20x10's

The bigger leveling kit will make it go up about 1.5", should be perfectly level, I may have to raise the rear at that point

Got the passenger seat brackets welded today, Also put a ton of sound deadening stuff behind the rear interior panels. Gonna put more on the floor also. I also did the inside and outside of the doors with the roof flashing stuff.

They are extended cab seats out an 01, they have the seatbelts in the seat which is kind of nice

Hopefully I can get tires soon, I'm thinking 285/55r20 nittos

Also the sport bumper brackets and ETC. is probably going to be close to 500 so I may just get a stock bumper and sell the sport bumper

275/65r20, I guess they do fit, very minor rubbing, not enough to be concerned with. I'm going to get some new coils for the front and hopefully it will raise an inch at least.

Wheels look alright, they were nearly half the price of the other wheels I liked so I'm pretty happy with them
