Project MULE - Expedition build on a 1991 1500 4x4 Suburban

Final touches. It would also make welding much easier and cleaner when one learns to check ground cable connection when one has issues:doah:

I know some of you have been waiting for me to start tearing into the interior for the build. I hope to be starting that soon. I have a rear bumper I have to finish and a roof rack to build and mount first. I also have a roof rack i am building for a coworkers Jeep Commander so that's going to take a couple days out of this build.

Stay tuned!

Can anyone or more then one say if this frame mount plate will work on 80 and older frame ears??

It all mounts on the outside of the frame rail and nothing on the inside.

Bumper looks great! Im almost positive the brackets wont work on the older models. As far as the shopped pic, Its probably a good idea for what your doing, but i think the original colors look a million times better. But im also that kind of guy.

The first bumper went onto a 1976 Chevy Blazer Chalet. he did the common mod. cut the very ends of and drilled a couple holes and bam!

the blue in the Photoshop is the original blue. it just doesn't have the white.

Are the horizontal surfaces all in that bad of shape, peeling and faded? or is it a reflection of the clouds? If it that bad and you need to repaint it, the colors you did are ok, but I still prefer the original paint scheme.

When you take a 80s/90s GM paint job and add 22yrs of Arizona sun. yeah you get bad fade, at first I thought it was two shades of blue!

Ok so I went back and redid the colors inthe original blue and white scheme. It may not look as realistic now becuase I never saved the original PSD edits. but its close enough

For me with the white it just seems to busy. The blue I am going with is the factory blue which was a color option to have the burb ALL blue in that light blue as well.
