While I have the orders off to cut bumpers I thought I would mess with the roof rack mounting system.

Whoo Hooo!! Just finalized the deal on the burban getting painted. I just need to buy the paint, order some windows seals and such and toss him the keys.

We have so many other things going on that this phase of the build is at a slow moment. Once its painted we can starts speeding up. Once the roof rack and bumpers are on I can start with the wiring and interiors.

Amazing - I am VERY interested to see how the roof rack turns out. I would really like one.

Hats off to ORD (Off Road Design)

I had purchased a Chevy shackle flip kit from another member here. Now, He had purchased them from ORD and never used them. I bought them from him and found out they were the wrong ones They should have been 4" when the ones I had on hand were the 2.5" He didn't even know he had the wrong ones until I spotted it. He contacted Chris over at ORD and I sent an email as well, This is where it gets good. Chris verified that my seller did in fact receive the wrong ones and would exchange them with me across the board. ORD even shipped them to me with no shipping charge.

Now this story is something you do occasionally see and its always nice to be reminded of great customer service. BUT... Chris honored a sale from 2005! That's right he corrected the parts and shipped them to the new owner (me) from a 8 year old sale!

I say this, if you want to build your Chevy give Chris over at Off Road Design he will take care of you for sure!

So I finally got my roof rack from ORU, well Smitty Built now I think. It only took a YEAR! I mounted a set of Rigid spots, wide beams up front and small floods on the back. Still watching your rear bumper build. You do some nice work. Your rack mounts are much more substantial than the ones that came with my rack.

Its a friend that works at a body shop that's doing the prepping and painting so its on his time, but I am guessing I should have it back maybe two weeks.

I am currently in the process of gutting the doors and removing the trim pieces which will help speed him up.

Thats a great ORD story. I havent purchased anything from them yet but Ive nothing but good things. The more you get done on this rig the more I get excited about seeing it all come together.

This and a couple other testimonials have convinced me that ORD is the way to go when it's time for my SAS.
