I have what should be the genuine article final bumper revision to verify and start selling.
I have purchased all the paint and hardware for the roof rack but I cant finish until I have the truck back to verify where the mounts go.
First revision of rear bumper is complete and have made modifications but I am thinking of killing this project as no one has shown much interest in it.
Hood and Moonvisor are done and ready.
I have tried a small spot on the blue section of the hood with some Mothers California Gold Carnauba Wax.
misc small parts from LMC are in to finish the body job.
Too much crap to get done and I am currently sick with a sore throat and fever...NOT!
The first prototype I sold went on a 76(?) K5 Blazer chalet. Most of the holes did not match and he had to cut about 1.5" off the back end of the frame mounts but it does work with a bit of modding. At this time I dont offer any direct bolt bumper kits for the '72-'80 trucks. Once I can get ahold of the year range of truck to have in the shop for a little while I can make the frame plates for that and that's all it needs.
Ok , We are denied access to the heated curing booth with the minieral spirits in the paint (I guess I can kind of understand). My friend Bruce just did it in jamming booth then.
Before anyone asks. the rear side glass and rear window glass was left in as they are the laminated privacy glass and the seal are a bit stiff. He had their glass guy look at it and mentioned we may want to leave them in as the odd of them breaking are pretty high. Since this is a side job the glass would have come right out of my pocket. Bruce is really good at being able to string and tape window seals left in so he can get paint in under the seals.
I think in the long run what I will have is the following
all the lower door panels in blue carpet
Both lower door panels from the barn doors
Blue center console between seats.
Both pieces (bottom and back) of the large section of the rear fold up seat.
