Its a gloss Oil base. Once it waxes up it will look better but it will never be the mirror reflection of a real paint job.

Just about done. The weatherstripping for the windows has haulted this assembly. I cant explain how bad they are.

The blue is a color match to the original blue but without the metallic flake. It did turn out to be a bit darker then planned. The problem was with the blue interior it did not leave much for color options. I originally wanted to go white but the wife didnt. so we decided on the blue.

URGENT

who knows which company offers good window seals for a 91 suburban all for doors. I amlooking for actual proof of use or install. not "i heard x is good". I am kind fo on a dead line.

I need all the windows track seals and the inner and outer edging swipe pieces (cant remember there name).

Any info would be great.

All I have is

Classic Trucks
Sofseal
Steel seal

but not all sell the parts i need.

Well, this might be the opposite of what you need, but I used window seals from Cheyenne Pickup Parts for the passneger window in my 88 Blazer. I am not happy. They are overly tight and even 18 months later have not loosened up to the point where I can roll the window up and down without fear of burning up the motor. I would not buy from them again. I know they weren't on your list, so you probably wouldn't have considered them anyway, but I figured I'd offer what info I could.

Yeah I got a hold of Tony at 1A Auto talked with him for a bit so I ordered a set from him. then the fun began with a 40 minute phone call with LMC. conclusion is still pending with LMC they wanted a singed letter form the installer and pics and a pint of blood from my first born.

I tried to tell them it was a friend of mine who has been int he body business for over 20yrs but it was a side job so no letter. I sent them pics and also explained that some of the parts me become bent, broken or tweaked from removal. They first wanted to charge me 20% restocking fee for the parts that have been installed.

I was like " you want to charge me for an inferior product that does not fit in the first place!"

I also had to explain to them that there are some parts int he world that you will not know if they work or not until they are installed.

We will see how this goes down.

For what it's worth, I just called my GM parts guy and asked about all new window seals for all four doors and every piece is still available new. Cost is less than $400, I think I may snag a complete set for the future

This is for the felt window channels and the inner outer window seals (or wipes) for both front and rear doors on the Suburban. I don't know the interchange but I used my 1988 as an example.

Good luck with the new seals! I ordered mine from classic parts and they were pretty good actually.
