nice! i love getting new parts! you doing ring & pinions too?

You know I looked back and I dont think I posted what I did.

the 14 bolt swap wasnt happening this year. Just a massive domino effect. Gears, locker wheels and tires. So the plan was to find any rear end that wax in 456 since I already the front in 456. Turns out a guy here on ck5 just posted up a 10 bolt and 12 bolt with 456s and auburn limited slip and the rear had moser shafts. We struck a deal and drove down to tucson on to get them.

so we will run with these axles for a year or two while we get the 14 bolt ready. The problem was we needed gears. All the weight was making it a slug. When I do swap in the 14 bolt I will just keep the 10 bolt front but move the outers to 8 lug.

so to answer your question I dont need to do gears but I am freshening up the axles on everything else and putting a small truss

That's cool man, I bet your suburban is getting heavy by now. After the axle/suspension work you should weigh it.

Front end going together. I used Rustoleum epoxy paint on the housing and VHT Matte black caliper paint on the calipers.

I'm always jealous of the people who have the patience to paint things.

Ha! Me too. That is why I need more projects. So I can take my time on one and not worry about having it sit because I have another to drive.

I plan to change the diff cover in the future but only under heavy crawling in my jeep have I ever dinged the cover. I'm not too worried about it.

I know your building your rig more for over landing, but it's just such a cheap insurance policy.
