project no name 73 blazer

the doors that came with the blazer are for a 76 or newer and wont work right on this blazer. i found a guy in washington with a set of 74 doors for $20 and new seat brackets for $10. the previous owner welded the passenger seat bracket so it wont fold forward, and the driver bracket is all messed up.

so ill probably use the 76 doors to build half doors. i have like 3 more sets of these doors lol.

i worked on the dash cap a little today. to start with the metal was rusted, the pad was soaking wet after it hasnt rained for like 3 weeks. shows how much water it soaks up. i cleaned it up some, its not show quality but its better than it was.

Heck I don't think you can get a new pad anywhere anyway. I've only seen pad covers that are made to over an existing pad.

Oh, and PAD. :D

thanks, it would be easier if it would fit in the shop lol. im heading to the mountains tomorrow to ride quads and then its suppose to rain for like the next week straight.
Yeah, once I put the top back on the '75 I have to let allot of air out of the tires to actually get it in to the garage! The '74 stays outside.

well i only need like 3-4 inches which i could get out of airing down the tires..... except the fact that this is a revolving door right now. i cant drive it into the shop because the tranny is broken, im cutting the floors out to get out the rust and am going to change the tranny out while i have the extra room. i cant push the blazer up into the shop because its about a foot higher entrance than the ground where the blazer is sitting.

so until i get the tranny swapped out, it sits outside with a tarp.

havnt gotten much done with rain and cold weather but i have been working out some deals.
