Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

the ONLY good thing about a dodge ram is the cummins.........we've slayed more than 1 of them for its drivetrain. ;)

heres another one slayed for its guts. I can almost guarronteeee there will be more. but only if they're cheap i got the silver '95 dodnor for $2000 and this green '94 for $1000.

Well, theres just no hope for ya'... I cant stand dodges, but I love my cummins, even with that big chrysler foreskin wrapped around it.

All will be well when Ive got my 6 speed in there... What did that water cooled holset set you back?

I jockey'd parts for it from a buddy. who has an obsession with turbos. he built 2 different sets of twins for his '02 dodge. he has turbos and heads like litter around his garage. they;re around $1000 new from cummins I think though.

I wish we could find donor trucks that cheap, Nice Rig !!!

I wanna yank the common rail from my 05 3500 and put it in my 91 V3500

The little guy on your shoulder with horns and a spiked tail is yelling "Do it! Do it!" :D

I almost did last year lol I'm not happy with the truck it looks like an overgrown minivan
Also I wanna keep my Cruise control when I swap and I want to keep the stock GM dash and column and haven't figure that part out yet hahaha

I'll have the stock dodge cruise setup functioning and Gm cluster working with EGT, Boost, and tranny temp guages added. probably do a dedicated water temp and oil press guades for security. all in a custom center console between front buckets. with the floor shifter. all combined.

Plan is Kurt diy4x will make me one of his consoles for my truck.

I'm wanting as Factory appearing as possible My EGT,Boost, and Trans temp will have to go on the pillar the shifter may be an issue but I might try to find a G56 to replace the 48RE, I'm sure I can figure out the cruise too if I jsut spend a little time with the schematic

heres my divorced Ford NP205 mount. got it final installed last night. used 3 of the 4 OEM isolators. 3lb sledge for custom clearancing floorpan. grind 2" off the top of the driverside case mount to clear.

on your divorced t-case mount..

ford left the two mounts non connected for a reason, my attempts to have them connected resulted in the mount breaking both times

maybe it was just bad luck, or maybe ford did it for a reason due to movement from the two frame rails, dunno just sharing

also I was able to find some poly bushings at the local off road shop, they are for somewhere on a jeep, made by daystar and very reasonable price wise, 2 different bushings, one with a lip and then a flat one

I dunno. probably to do with framerail deflection offroading it. beats me. maybe bad luck too.

I think this'll work for me. I'm not offroading this truck either though. I would like some new bushings though, I'll have to check out those......daystar. ok.

Tranny mount done, tranny cooler and fan rigged up. need to build mount for that still. Using a small hydraulic system cooler for the trans. with the 14" fan on, it should cool the crap out of it when I need it too. It s a ASA hydraulic cooler, it originally had a small hydraulic motor and fan on it.but I need 12v in my truck so it was modifyed. :D
