Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

That's about stupid. I'll bet their patrol cars don't have mud flaps on them.

Several states in the U.S. have mud flap laws too. I think the purpose of those laws is just to tell guys with 4WDs that "law enforcement is the boss." If they can pull you over for something obvious like no mud flaps, their line of reasoning is that they can try to spot a bunch of other unsafe stuff and give you some tickets and make some money.

No, I disagree.

they gravel the roads here. we get real asshole type winter here for around 5 solid months. tires on trucks like mine fire rocks through windshields. thats a fact.

...that...and ever follow someone with big knobby tires down the road after they were mudding?

Chunk chunk chunk chunk chunk...clods of mud falling like mortar rounds.

Sad but true... the windshield in my truck is proof!
Sh!t the tires on my truck flic rocks on my own windshield! :doah:

Sold some tires to your buddy Jay in Blackfalds last week...He phoned me about a add I had on Kijiji I recognized his truck from F /B.

Nice guy, had nothing but nice things to say about you!
Small world!

Bought a pile of cummins parts for the engine build up. To the tune of $7k :sly: go fast parts aren't cheap.

That'll be the understatement of the month. I don't really want to speculate on what it'll end up like until the dyno has spoken.

80% of that lump is injection pump and head. Exchange has been pretty much on par for a year too. Pump built by Seth at Diesel Performance Engineering in the states, 950cc, billet quickfill cam,13mm barrels, 6k governor. Head built by Dave at Passenger Performance in BC, intake milled off, heavily ported, big valves. Stage 5 colt cam and billet gearcase and cover to house the adjustable gears.

Haven't decided on turbo configuration yet, though on hand I've already got an 80mm billet compressor GT47, 71mm billet compressor k31, 66mm HX55.

So what kind of RPM range is this thing going to operate in? You said a 6K governor, so is going to rev that high? I've never heard of a diesel doing that kind of RPM. Forgive me for the dumb question - I'm unfamiliar with diesels, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Im interested in how driveable this rig will be with that much power on a mechanical fuel system. Should be a wild ride!

About 5 or 6k rpm's :D

Luke, that engine is going to be incredible   I can't wait to see some videos :woot:

W0W! With that amount of fuel and any combination of those turbos should easily put you in the 800-900 hp range if not even higher! Engine is going to be a monster. Its certainly going to be a handful in that truck.
