Restored back to original rigs

This is how mine looks currently. New rear quarters, rockers and paint this summer. Bedliner on the top, floors and inside tailgate. I'm still not sure if I want to go for the stock look and bring back the trim and mouldings, or go modified with the bare-bones look and lift kit, bigger tires/nicer rims, axles and on and on and so it begins..

tough decisions.

By the way its my daily driver and yes its getting driven this winter. Thats what they were built for IMO. I'm going to do everything I can to prevent the rust from happening

that looks awesome! does that have any lift at all or is it stock? And I agree, they're built to be driven and used!

Looks good. Do it the way you want it to look and drive it!

Thanks, its on stock suspension in all the pics I posted, but in the newer pics its running 33" kumho tires

you fit 33x12.50 on the stock 15x7 with no lift whatsoever?
thats bedliner on the fiberglass top?

damn that sure looks nice :thumb:

Its doable, I ran the same but BFG's on my stock rims. Two weeks ago I put on some 15x10 centerline rims with the 33 BFG's. No lift needed but I do run load carrier shocks. Its a firmer ride.

Yep no lift whatsoever. Still has swaybar and munroe quad shocks up front, doesn't ride too bad. Its just really loud in there, I'm trying to get the interior back together, I have yet to start the power window relay mod though first.

The fiberglass top was sprayed with bedliner and it looks better than factory, not too rough either, has a nice glossy finish to it with texture. And its easy to keep clean.

Nice, I might just do the 33's to mine as I have the same wheels and shocks myself lol.
The top looks great, I would have never thought to do that, damn good idea

I say it's PERFECT!

I agree 100%

Hey Jeremy

How about a wheel shot I'd like to see how those center caps look:D

Aint they purty? :D pay no attention to the broke stud.

The engine and trans are far from stock , but the body and suspension are "stockish"

as much as i like seeing a all out trail truck, i like it even more when you see a 70's or 80's chevy being daily driven with the reliablity of a newer car

I like this thread, My wife has Arthritis Pretty bad and over the years has started to get where she can't crawl up in the truck. Well I don't wanna get rid of the truck and I've decided to keep the wife, :D So I'm looking into going back to stock. This thread has kind of helped me with my choice. I never went radical with it so its not a stretch to get back to original..

It's also nice to see some good looking original trucks
