Well that sucks. Guess that starts the frame swap tomorrow?

No. The frame swap is way off. Was attempting to get ride of the last like vibration. Did the math and checked angles 3 times. But when you get the tail shaft angle, then turn around and get the input yoke angle, and draw the sketch wrong because you turned around, you are twice as far off.

I guess I should have known that I could not get lucky and fix the vibration and lower the back of the truck a little, all at once.

Now axle will have to be dropped and new spring pads installed.

Well it happens to the best of them.
It hasn't happened to me yet, but I am not the best of them yet

Does this have a one piece drive shaft? I guess I don't remember seeing how the wheelbase compares to like a long bed truck.

One piece. A short bed in the same year was 117" wheel base. This is 113". Basically, a shortened dually short bed standard cab truck.

I knew that I have not fixed the vibration issue. It did change though. Less noticeable and is at 45-50 MPH, instead of 55-60.

But the stance is much improved. In my opinion.

Pictures suck due to the sun or lack thereof. Tried to take them in the same location.

After. Rear fender opening is 2.25" lower.PXL_20241102_192252712.jpg

Removing spring pads from a 14bff, while under the truck, sucks. Arms got to the point that the death wheel was going to get dangerous.

Just have one side of one pad to finish.

The question I have is, do I keep the big bottom spring. I have to get u-bolts, so not putting the leaf back in is no big deal.

I could not see any wear between the the 2 bottom leafs. Haven't touched each other in a long time.

You’re referring to the next longest strong after the main? I’d leave that and take the shortest is you’re trying to shorten the stack
