Richard's Funky Fire Truck

I think those as beds end up pretty cool!

That's what I would do. That ultimate adventure tug truck is one of my favorite rigs ever. Love that look.

You're welcome!

I think I have seen it done before. I don't much care for it, but it's better than a flatbed, and the price is okay.

Yup, Better than a flat bed.

Btw how do you expect to skii when your left leg is limp? :haha:

another UA truck with that bed

Awesome, thanks! That's the wider one as I just learned and it's what I just looked at. I told the guy I could pick it up by thanksgiving and he's holding it for me. It's got a few patches but I don't really care.

Martin, I don't have any immediate paint plans. It'll hopefully be getting worked hard next spring and summer. Maybe next winter if all goes well I'll clean it up and paint it to match.

agree with the military trailer for a bed....they just look RIGHT on these trucks

So, any suggestions for mounting this thing to the back of Chevy Truck?

I would be hard pressed to take a nice truck bed off to swap that on like they did, but seeing as you don't have a bed (or a man worthy transmission), I say go ahead!

Skimmed the thread real quick. Congrats on the new purchase! I swear if you re-paint it, I will personally drive to Bahhhston and kick you in the taint!!!

Anyways, here's what my m1009 looked like with 4" Tuff Country HD springs up front and 37" tires. I clipped the back corners of the fenders a little bit. I would think that you would probably want to add a 1" zero-rate or maybe do a body lift.

I would run 2" spacers and use some H1 wheels with the 37s. They just look soooo good! Look up Feltz Tire on Facebook. He has really good prices on take off h1 wheels & tires, better than Trailworthy. He can get the run flats too if you really wanted them. You will have to go to Trail worthy though to get the new O-rings

Might as well make that army trailer "bed" a dump body while its apart...increase it's usefulness and resale value quite a bit by doing that...

That would be cool.

Use a hydraulic PTO to power the dump bed. And hey while you're at it you might as well toss in a hydraulic winch too. Might as well use it for the plow too :waytogo:
