Richard's Funky Fire Truck

I cut my bed up yesterday, and moved the middle portion onto my truck. It was a 9 foot box. I'll be shrinking it by about 12 inches.

I'm centering the wheel wells and then measuring the front and back to cut for size.

As much fun as this two pedal thing is, after looking for tires for a long time and comparing rpms vs diameter, I've decided to commit to finding nv3500 parts.

I'm also considering some store brand 35s to lower rpms for the interim. With a nv3500 later on, I think I'll end up right where I'd like.

Just FYI, Dont know if there is a America's tire/discount tire in your neck of the woods, but they are doing an extra $100 off a set of four tires installed. They also price match.

Thanks, they have a place by me thats doing buy 2 get 2 if you pay before 11 am Friday. The price on those two tires are kinda jacked up for the sale, but it still works out to be a good deal.

I towed what's left of my trailer up to Maine today. I got some skiing in along the way.

I had trouble getting Chevy truck to drag the trailer through the foot of snow and mucky muck underneath so I enlisted the help of Chevy blazer. I got the trailer parked, got Chevy blazer stuck, and Chevy truck is running great except for what I think is a squeaky speedo.

I didn't have the hook and controller with me :doah:

Who gets stuck in their own yard ... :D

Somehow this thread doesn't quite do justice to the "Fire truck" :D :haha:

I skied wildcat Friday. I was going to skin Black yesterday, but they kicked me off so I ended up skinning Cranmore. Today, I'm off for Bretton Woods.

cool rig Rich. i cut up my 1028 firetruck this past summer and kept the best part for my stepside. i had planned on doing just what you are doing but took a job in NYC which requires me to spend most my time there.

cool your up near abram. my buddys family has a place near there and work at the MT. last name is Ryan. They are near the firestation.

for a plow/work truck keep the TH400. just makes things easier.

might send you a PM soon about the M1009.

oh and how did you guys do at the ENH run last spring.

Ian
