Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

sending Prius's scurrying for their sheetmetal life at every turn! :woot: :saweet: that alone, makes me smile...

Sup man!!!!

Haha I used to be that way too...

However spending $650 a month in gas lead me to buying a Prius... now car payment plus gas and I still put $250/m in my pocket!!!!!

Never understood that even at 20mpg in the truck was $650/m.... now Prius today got 67mpg

So instead of $25 in gas today I will spend $4ish:whistle:

I tend to post up when you are looking for ideas personally. I like to toss in the how about or did ya think about type stuff when you ask. I like to think that kinda stuff coming at me from other cause it helps me evaluate my thoughts or designs on projects.

Just so you know we enjoy the smaller continued posts so we can see concept through completion, but for me ,as well as others, it the instruction that i pick up on the way. Your post and threads tend to be more of a how too, instead of a how cool.

So keep up the rockstar work.

I rarely post but I do enjoy your small updates. It gives me a chance to see how things are done and gives me ideas for the future. Keep it up.

Good call. I think you're really going to appreciate having something there after you fill up a few times.

it's not bad at all to get to really.. I did it today to show the yard guy.. just gotta get on my toes a bit to open the fill.. but I can pump flatfooted.. where I think it will be a nice thing is if I have a gooseneck hooked up and want to get up on the bed for sumfin...

the other reasoning was, tho the box looks great, and I like the whole mitered look, I think just having that lower tube matched to the one above it will "soften" the "front corner of the box" look just a bit... whereas that tube, and a full curved alum facia, would be "too much"...

I like orange, and heavy metal. That's why I tune into this channel. My fab/built/smarts level is no where near yours, so I tend to shut up and watch. If it involves crayons, and eating glue I'm in...

Keep up the saweet a$$ work:waytogo:

thanks man.. I watch your stuff too... glue chewing is reserved for thurs nights.. hey! it's thurs!!! :woot: :haha: ;)

eh, you drive eleventy zillion miles a year... I drive like 8 g's... my marina is 2 miles from the house... it's the "obnoxiousness" of Mutt pulling up to a Prius or smart car at a light, etc that I just find so enjoyable... same as I would in a snoortin BB Chevelle.. :saweet:burnout

Good job, man. :D

will fab for neers......... :deal:

thanks mang.. your input has always been keenly appreciated.... `as you guys know, I'm gonna do what I want, but I certainly love getting input... quite a few suggestions have been incorporated... not all, but you guys help me walk thru lot's of my insanity minefield...

tanky... I really need to stop being so lazy and try to do some more "in process" stuff.. I used to be much better about that... :doah:

I read every post of yours and Greg 72. You 2 are the best fab guys on this site !:D

eh, I doubt that.. plenty of guys can build great stuff in here... I think Greg's and mine just tend to be over the top in their own ways... funny thing is, they are soooooo very different...

thanks for the support guys! :D I didn't want this to turn into some pity party or anything.. it was just a thought I had about how to show the rig to it's fullest...

I'll keep at it, and keep posting weekly updates, cuz I know a bunch of you keep watchin.... thanks again! :D

I watch your build, your fabrication is so over the top but sublime at the same time. Details really impress me as a cabinet builder. My75 build is stalled and not worth posting, glad a few of my extra parts are on both of your rigs. Keep posting !

Eh' you can skip to big updates on mutt if you want... more time to work on it that way:waytogo:

so you can get it done and work on the Blazer:woot::popcorn:

Soo when you gonna take this offroad? Or is this mall crawler central?............??.?.?.?

This is why I wish we had "LIKE" buttons. There are many times I would like a person to know I'm following their build but feel silly posting some generic "Looks good" post numerous times on the same thread.

mall tow-er..... :pimp: that brings the funnay...... :waytogo:

Ryoken - still looks for good urban flex spots, even with a dually! :doah: :haha:

I agree with this wholeheartedly, I feel bad post whoring it up sometimes so I usually sit back, watch, and drool!

some in process... setting the 1/2 way depth for the door stop...
