Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

I was gonna say I could send you my old fuji. But it's pretty old. Only like 3.2 mp. Not sure if that would be a favor or not. Lol.

Truck is looking :pimp:

Hell yeah, top looks much better! One of these day's you'll have to school us on how to fade the paint so it looks like it was done at one time.

Hooray! You finally painted the roof!

hehe, I KNEW you'd be pleased with my efforts....

thanks Eric.... I have an ancient 3.2 HP one kicking around that kinda/sorta works, sometimes.. but it too has been dropped too many times....

actually, being a solid color, the rig is just panel painted at this point.. no need for blending...

a metallic, or even a base/clear would have been tougher... tho doable with the right technique....

I'll actually go back over this in a couple years, fix the minor dings/imperfections I didn't bother with/have time to fix, this time round, mask the whole rig, and give it a couple final overcoats, so it's t1ts... :pimp:

Man I tell you what this rig is just about perfect. Well done

thanks mang... :D I'm sooo glad my vision has turned out to be something a bunch "get".... it'll have it's haters, but as long as my design is neat to some, I'm stoked....

thanks again guys for the compliments and help....

does anyone think the 5 lb fire bottles will be a bit "huge"? :dunno:

the bottles are 4.5" in diameter, and like 16" long.....

you can never have too much of that capability I figure.. better too much than too little.. :doah:

and with 2 5's, I figure that's about as well equipped as I can fit.... just wondering if they're gonna be stoopid big and 2.5 lbers would be better...

figure I'll run em here...

Wrt fire extinguishers, while spraying their flaming motor, nobody ever said "I wish this was smaller." OTOH, when they run out, lots of people have said "I wish this was bigger." :haha:

That said, I've only ever put out an underhood fire with a 2.5#, but it was just tranny lines melting on the exhaust (PO hack, not my doing!) and it used up the extinguisher.

I now carry two fives and People Who Know (those who've had a fire) keep telling me I should have two tens. Anyway, since you have the room, go big.

So far I haven't seen you approach any part of this build and say........"Is that too big?"............so why start now:D

I think this is a great picture of a great looking rig:bow:
I would definitely be checking this out at any car show..

rear main.. it's not horrible, well at least on a "add oil" level.. I really don't even add oil between changes... but it does drip a bit... the 465 does drip a bit too...

I'm avoiding fixing anything on the gasser due to the eventual 6BT... which is why the need to buy $105 motor mounts kind of annoys me... :doah: :haha:

Would you put in a set of stock mounts if sent them?

hey bud, good to see ya around! :waytogo: hope all's good...

nah, I'm good, thanks mang! :pimp: get so sick of dealing with cr@ppy China stuff... should have just put a set of uro's in when I did em last time...

I'll just do em when I move the axle up a 1/2" in a couple weeks.. spend WAY more money on stoopider stuff :doah:, had to do a Kert order anyway...

and just wanna thank you again for making Mutt possible...

not particularly... Mutt is rarely far from me...

I also think I can make Kert's mounts lockable pretty easily for overnights, etc if I want to.. but again, I'm not parking it in the ghetto either, it's 10' from my bedroom window under floodlights....

throw in a big german shepherd hangin out the majority of the time.. :haha:

I should also point out something here... having extinguishers on the rig isn't so much for Mutt itself, tho I always have one in my rigs..

it is more for the fact this is a service rig.... OTHER things combusting, boats, rig's, flaming nun's et all...
