Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

hmmmmm, yeah, I haven't touched the coil..... was that a new one in a box I saw?

No, the new coil is on the engine now so are new wires, the only new part in the boxes is the pickup module inside the dizzy, I stopped changing parts once I realized it wasn't any of the elctronics, unless you think that could be it, but to me it looks like it's working so I didn't want to pull the dizzy out to replace it.:doah:
The reason I kept the old parts is that they didn't look like they were bad and they could be spar parts for someone.

should be able to change it with out pullin the dizzy:dunno: thats how I did mine

My '91 TBI 350 would act like that - couldn't track it down. Finally paid a shop to determine it was the brand new plug wires I'd just installed. :(

Another new set and it ran great!

yeah, I just ran the sh*t out of it just now.... it's a pop out the TB, whether that's a lean pop or ignition prob is unknown at this point... gotta go hunt down the bracket for my fuel pressure gauge....

just got done doing the whole "pull the cluster apart, polish the lenses, chrome paint on back, etc" mod.. amazing how much better it looks and now works with all the bulbs working and bright...

oh, my romping run was just down to the marina to pick up 10 lb's of freshly caught yellow fin tuna.... :woot: dinner's for the week! :haha:

Hey Paul,
Was just reading about sometimes the pressure regulator being bad, do these truck have a pressure regulator or is it just the Vortec and newer?

yeah, they do in the back of the tb... spring, diaphragm setup... you can do adjustable too...

I may just drive it for the week, and do some big projects next weekend... hood with pressure gauge on it, oil pump, etc, etc...

correction.. she is throwing a code 42..... me thinks it may be a pickup coil problem...

Holy mackeral!...I mean tuna...wow...I love fresh tuna steak..stuff is $17.99 a pound here when you can get it...it's nowhere near as fresh as when I am down at the Gulf....that's definitely a perk of working at the marina...

I've still got striped bass in the freezer from last month..

This is as fresh as it get's, on ice from last night... they got 6 50 lb yellow fin's out at the canyon... not a killer trip, but good enough... just finished some 5 minutes ago, lemon and garlic under the broiler... yum...

this is the boat they run out in.. 2010 36' albamarle...

Wow! That boats gorgeous....I want to see more pics of the ocean up there and beach and area...the houses in the background look a little "New England"...almost like Martha's Vineyard...

Just like you guys have this image that all us in Alabama have one tooth and play banjo in overalls with no shirt on....we have an image that Jersey is nasty and polluted....

Doesn't look like it to me...that water is nice and blue...

eh, that's just a stolen google image of the same boat....

eh, Joysey's not bad down the shore, up by NY, not so much... I'll try to remember to take some scenic pics tomorrow...

so I've got a known good tbi dizzy, plus a pickup from Ice.. I think I'll do that all in one shot, oil pump and dizzy... makes sense... probably dump a qrt of Marvel in on friday and do all that sat...

unfortunately I need to order a new fuel pressure gauge as the Pro comp I had freakin leaked it's mineral oil out... first time I've had an AM liquid-filled do that... I'm running sport comps in the CC anyway... so I'll order a non-liquid-filled sport comp one later in the week...

hope I can afford a gallon of the new red/orange paint this paycheck... :pimp:

that boat was 800 g's when he bought it a couple yrs ago.... it's freakin loaded.. that bridge area is actually air conditioned...

it's my bosses buddy from Westfield, NJ... my hometown's nextdoor rival town... big wig stock broker... the most anal customer we have...

You two must get along pretty well then :haha:

I know it may seem that way due to the nature of my mods. etc, but I am sooooo not like that.... how the Dungeon and my house look 1/2 the time would testify to that....

I respect the guy because he want's his stuff perfect, and I do mean perfect... way more respect than my idiot customers who just gas and go, but he does drive me nuts with his requests and expectations...

*Mutt shopping list for the week*

qrt of Marvel
fuel sender
Seafoam
order MSD dizzy and coil, if I can swing the coin...
gal of Aircraft Stripper
sand for blaster
gal of way cool red paint....
