Yeah keep it BB...I want to see some of those marine parts under the hood.

my bed was actually a fun project, and although it was an interpretation of someone else's design, phase 2 will make it much more "mine". It's definitely cool to fab a purpose built bed
from just one wheeling trip so far I'm already loving mine
so the K5 is on hold til you get this where you want it then...seems like you mentioned "borrowing" a few parts from the K5?
I'm really anxious to see your vision of a tube bed![]()

With the miles you are going to put on it unless a screaming deal comes along on a cummins ( which are out there) I would probably stay gas.
Though people forget there are other options out there.
6.2 with a turbo, 6.5 with a turbo gives you a great excuse to upgrade the AC stuff to a vintage air type system to clean up the firewall.
Though keeping with the theme of this truck if you were to go diesel I think it would have to be the 6.2 or 6.5 because those are just beyond a motor swap.
it'll be a 496 LS base at some point down the road.... just need to come up with a good core... but it'll more than likely get that gen VI roller long block in the spring to tide me over...
for me, I have no desire to build the 6.2 or 6.5... it's a FINE choice for many, just not my cup of tea...
hadn't even contemplated it....![]()
