Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

oh, and that spring pack is a set of 56's from the back of an early 80's 2wd burb....

thanks.. :D yup, since I killed it today, I think tomorrow I'll do the bed spacer, which I think will make it look MUCH better... and I wont have to worry about getting the tires into it as much...

wont matter in a month anyway... :haha:

oh, and the other thing I'll put into tomorrows agenda now is to install the main front bumper brackets and get that properly aligned... plus I need to figure out what I'm gonna do about bumpstops in the rear once I flip it......

oh, here's the other ones on the camera...

the offending springs.. I enjoyed greatly taking a plasma to these... and cookie for Ice on the broken leaf! :haha:

I'll just run the stocker for a LONG time... heck, I could run alum with this trucks duties...

Paul, you consider Timbrens for bumps?
Should work real nice on this ride.

being it's eventually getting bagged, I'm just gonna try to rebracket the stockers as a temp stop gap till I can figure out what I'm doing about the bags..

bags would be bitchin'
I'm pretty happy with how well mine rides, but I would consider baggin' it too!

I think it's the perfect rig for em..

on a semi-weird side Dungeon note...

since this truck has shown up, and it's been getting the full blown treatment outside of the Dungeon, I've suddenly "acquired" quite a few local "friends" :haha:

there had to be 5 dudes stop by the house today.. couple have been by before now... one guy with a pretty clean 89 K5 from a couple blocks over stopped today.. clean for Joysey anyway... didn't know much, but pretty much pissed himself over the copper dungeon monster.. :haha:

it's just kinda funny how all the yrs I've been fabbing inside due to the noise, etc, and nobody had a clue what I was building... now like a 6 block radius knows I'm the chevy truck guy building all kinds of crazy stuff.... :pimp:

On the bump stops, on my last pick n pull adventure, while my brother was wrenching I was doing some misc recon and noticed the factory bump stops on mid to late 90's S Blazers, they are like an econo Timbren :D super simple mount setup, approx 4 1/2" tall, and better yet the guy told me I could have some (I snagged 2 sets, and I'll get more when I go back). A quick google search will show you some pics, but, here is a link to a lowering thread that shows them nicely in the 9th picture in post 1 http://blazerforum.com/forum/lowering-tech-45/lowering-4wd-98-blazer-70266/. Just a thought :D

Yes, but I have been doing all my work in the front driveway where everybody can see it...and call me paranoid but it makes me nervous....
had a guy from around the corner who stopped one day when I was working on it and said "hey, I didn't know you had a welder"....funny thing was I wasn't using it at all that day at all and it is hidden in the garage....so now I know everybody knows exactly what I got in my garage and where there is a "soon to be" very clean nice K5 parked where the guy who lives there is gone to work most of the day....
I like the compliments but the attention makes me very nervous....if ya' know what I mean....
:weapon38:

eh, I'm not worried about that from these kinda guys.... harmless enthusiasts usually..

and you have seen pics of me right, I tend to kinda scare people.... :haha:

funny you mention it..

me in my new hat (NOT CK5 ) after today's wrenchin sesh....
