tough day today, everything fought me, especially the Dungeon and my equipment..... :popcorn:

my Snappie charger puffed magic smoke sun night, so I've been without an impact this week... so hand wrenching, yeah, I know, I know.. but it does slow the sh*t out of the process... I really need to get a new air one for the house...

anyway....

could have used it running down the stupid long u-bolts... new set from ORD 2 day to me, hopefully they'll be shorter with more cut thread, had to run triple thick washers on the ds..pas side is ok, other than long and only grade 8 bolts... studs from ORD with the u-bolts coming.. so, I gotta go back in and replace that stuff... .. shoulda just got some from DSuban like I did in the back...


all that aside, it's coming out awesome! :haha: for as prepared as I thought I was, it's like a bomb went off in the Dungeon..... :haha:

did new rotor, bearings, brakes, shocks, kingpin rebuilds, yada... doing a bit of din din, than going back down for a little 3 hr sesh to finish the ds...

so... other than a few odds and ends, I should have the front back down sometime tomorrow, and rolling enough to swap the rig around and do the back.. than when the u-bolts get here, i can rehit the front over the weekend...

hopefully, the back will go trouble-free... I don't foresee any issues, but it is life... :popcorn: :whistle: :haha:

oh, and the new 60 calipers I had that I was going to throw at it too, are wrong.... I mean, they're right, but it's too big a casting by the hose... i did grind it some, but even than it was still too big.. :dunno: freakin Napa idiot from a couple yrs ago.. so the olds are going back in...

don't get me going.... the stupid old bitty at Wallyworld sat decided to spin my 10 pack of light bulbs off into another universe.. hate them freakin things... that was like $10, didn't realize till later.... :doah: than monday the one 8' fluro died... great...

yeah, my apologies.. I'll get some outside this weekend... :deal:

ya know.. looking at that one pic... that should be a he!!a sight coming down the road Mutt towing the K5 on a gooseneck...

btw, my really good marine mechanic bud stopped by today, and I was telling him how I wanna go off on the K5 now.. at least suspension-wise.. I really wanna link it now that I stole it's suspension!.... :doah: :whistle: :haha:

that's ironic..... at least I somehow managed to think it might be a good idea to do this inside.. if i had done it outside, I'd have been screwed.. we've had 174"s of rain the last 2 days.. torrential downpours right out side the dungeon.... I can watch from under the rig! :haha:

and even than, it's been humid as fock this week.. my fatarse has gone thru 57 shirts this week.. no sh*t, like a dozen a day! work an hr, get drenched and slimey, put a fresh one on.... :haha:
 
yeah, thats my vacation, I can put a fresh shirt on whenever I want.. I may have 3 or so at work for a day, but I do spend a good amount of time drenched! :doah::haha:


full loads every night! :doah: :haha:
 
Holy crap! You don't waste any time. I read the first few pages when you first got "Mutt", and then lost track, it took me 2 days of reading to get caught up... Looks awesome, and I like the color choice.

yeah, I'm banging pretty good on this, gotta get it pretty good quick so I can get back to the K5....






some end of night shots.. gotta do that ds hub in the morn, but I got that kingpin done and the hi-steer in...

now I can give that 60 a free shot at any armadillo's or zombies I may encounter! :woot: :rolleyes: :pimp: :haha:

ORD's package should be here some time tomorrow, so I think I'll leave it nose in and just get it all done and wrapped up front.. hopefully by tomorrow night.. still gotta fill the brakes and p steering, align it tomorrow too...
 
and more importantly, should perform eleventy times better than what was in there..... :haha:
