hey, was wondering how you where doing.... sure, anytime mang!

Looking good! :zombie5:

Are you mimicking the same for the other side?

thanks bud... yeah, exactly on the configuration of the step and box...... just a dual bat box as opposed to storage...

I have no clue when I'm gonna get to it.. right now, the tentative spring/summer schedule next year for Mutt is to start with the fuel tank.. than get the other drawer in...

than I'll either bang out the bat box and step setup, or do the kennel next... the kennel will be a much bigger project, so I'll prolly see about getting the ps caught up to the ds prior maybe...

Loving the progress - it is really looking great!

thanks man.... :)

bangin on the rig, been going off lately.. now I'm doing the alum panels at night... giving em a fresh burnish, cleaning the back and gonna sharkhide em, reinstall..

mounted the fire bottles tonight... Kert's mounts rule, nuff said!

excuse the lack of alum.... ;)

Damn dude, the steps and the bottles = tits!!!!

Finally got back in here after the horrifying site swap and pow! Got hit with the goods. Looking good man, looking good!

oh, and my OCD got to me..... :screwy: while burnishing out that alum panel, I couldn't help myself and smoothed out the welded corner... :haha: now it matches the rounded edges everywhere else on the alum... :pimp:

I'm thinking I may try to do some sort of dedicated "photo-op" thing next sunday... the rig will be clean from the prior day car show... just trying to think of a cool spot... I do have some pretty good water views around here....

Are you going to the Seaside show Paul???

Are you going to the Seaside show Paul???

didn't even know they had one.. :o I'm not big in that scene, other than I used to hit the spring Englishtown show every yr many moons ago...

my little town of Oceangate here, put's one on every fall.. the local EMS.. http://www.oceangateems.org/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/ogcarshow2015_flyer_rev1.pdf

I seem to remember it get's like 150 or so cars from driving by in the past.... it's 2 blocks from my house... fuggit, I'm just kinda curious what kind of attention the rig will garner at an actual "event".....

on that note.... as a former resto/body guy, my OCD got the better of me.. :doah: :haha: ALL the alum panels are off for a reburnish.. just came in from scrubbing down the frame/tubebed..... gonna really try to make it clean, touch up some paint, etc..... it really kinda needed it, the whole back of the rig was seriously covered in road grime, etc.....

thanks guys... silly, but, it is a big deal to me.. it IS why I originally wanted to build a CC...

it's no cheap endeavor fo sure, 1/3 more than I wanted to spend.. but these are serious show dog parents, top of the line stuff... so I'm ok with it, I want a great dog, and this will be a good jumping off point...

I'm sending a deposit check out next week, and will have a firmer date/schedule in a week or so too.. cutting my initial, free, training time a bit short with a feb date before I go back to work.. but I'll manage...

now I just have to curtail my compunction to spend the next 3, 4 months doing a whole new floor, kennel, new seats, etc in Mutt...:doah: :haha:

oh, and I'm still torn on the name spelling.. for as "more common", if there is such a thing for this name :haha:, as Malachi is, I'm really leaning toward spelling it Malakai..... the "chi" is just a bit more mistakable for the "Malachi brothers" of Happy Days fame... :haha: I like the kai deal.....

I'm also really torn at this point on my schedule... I was kinda done on Mutt for the yr, other than plodding thru the bumper for however long that takes.... now I'm kinda mulling over the idea of just driving the black 2wd for the next 4 months or so, not subjecting Mutt to the Joysey salt, and banging out the whole floor deal... maybe not the actual alum kennel divider bars/wall, but at least the whole floor, gangplank and new seats... it'd be a much easier integration having the whole back with the flat floor for a dogbed, etc for when I get the pup and am back at work in short order after.. might as well get him used to the gangplank early on...

also, other than the seats, at $500 to 600, it's a pretty minor $$$$$$ investment.. the floor will be a couple hundy in materials and mostly labor...
