Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

Damn, she's a big girl!

now that i think about it, that may not be right... it may have been 7200, and i planned on 8 g's after the dizzle.. i'll have to peak around and see if i see that # somewhere..

the other factor is I'll be hauling around 400 lb's in fuel too...

but Mutt's definitely got some butt. :pimp:  :haha:

I swear, that XDP place must be using the UPS walking guys to deliver the package... :haha: ordered it like last mon/tues, they sent me a ups track # last thurs, and it's not supposed to get here till this thurs... no big, i got tons of other chit flying.. was just amusing considering it's like 15 miles away... must be dropshipping it...

boy, my occasional OCD is kicking in on that mill prep... :grind: :grind:   :pimp:

but i need to get outside tomorrow on the tabs, cold weather is a cummin... :doah:

boom.. 6 cans of factory Cummins beige on the way.... :saweet:

getting ready to blast the mill before final disassembly... had to call up and yell at one of my boat customers to bring back my blaster he borrowed 3 months ago...

gasket kit came in today.. no wonder it took so long, literally came in a box about 20" x 20" x 54".... must have went to the Amazon school of packing... ;)

blowing 25 today, so no miggy miggy.... :(

oh, to save me some chiltons reading for now, how do I R & R the P-pump and stay at the stock config? never did one... is there a pin you swap around or similar like some other pumps i've done to lock it in? not looking to hotrod it right now, just pull and reinstall later.. i take it the gear is pressed... I had the front cover off for a bit to take a peak at what i need to make for the KDP, but didn't look at the gear setup, before buttoning it back up temporarily.....

oh, and hey, what's the premise with that soft cover thingy over the tappet cover? the marine versions i see don't have that....

I guess that answers that! What are you doing monkeying around w/ drawers when you should be dropping that slug in! :rotfl::whistle::saweet::burnout:

I'm sooooooo far from dropping that in it isn't funnay... :haha: need a BIG ole pile O' parts going before i start that project.. x-member, NV4500 and all associated cr@p, new 65 gal dizzle tank, shafts, full rebuild on my 205 (twinstick, etc) , my soul, yada.... if I'm lucky, it'll run from next x-mas into early summer 020... don't wanna take the rig down if I'm that far away from the rig running...

creampuff mill tho, 80 g's on it...

I'm not much help since it's been FOREVER since I messed with pump timing on one but if I remember correctly there's a pin on the backside of the front cover below the pump that pushes into the gear train to pin it(it's just plastic with an o-ring on it) and there should also be a place to pin the pump I think. Then you just use a gear puller to pop the drive gear off the front of the pump. Probably have to use the google-fu to find better destructions. As for the soft cover doohickey I'd bet it's just sound deadening stuff for the automotive applications.

You’re such a nice boy Pauly for taking your mum to lunch

;) it was good to get her out of the house.. things have been tough with my dad...

gonna start trying to get back to Mutt over the next few days more... if I could get my damn blaster back, I'd be at it tomorrow...

oh, who is everyone using for various rolocs? what's that one, benchmark abrasives? need 2" course surface condition pads and 24 or 36 grit in 2" too....
