They told me they would use Chroma Premier...I probably will not know for sure, but this Maaco uses DuPont exclusively.

I was in disbelief when they first told me they would use Chroma Premier for that price, but he said they do $80,000 a month I think with DuPont and he said they get it a lot cheaper than it would cost me.

They are a high volume shop...it's always full and they also have the city and government contracts...they paint police cars, Post Office trucks..etc..

Who painted it?

sorta seems like a dream...I can't believe it's actually close to looking the way I wanted it to when this started 3 years ago...

I hope that hood arrives by wednesday

they asked about the top today...said I should bring it in and let them do it.

I may do that later. I would like to have that option, but scared the top will mess up the rails...or the process of install and removal will mess up the rails

:haha:

It's a bad week to be a seal...

Ironically me and my wife watched Jaws again last night. It never gets old.

I am just thinking the first thing I will need to do when I get the blazer is to put down carpet and I will want to put sound damper on the floor and in the doors.

I won't be able to install anything till the carpet is in.

You mean we might have painted update pics next week?! :woot:

not next week but probably mid the next week...there should be a completely painted Sunset Gold and White 1974 Blazer with photos.

what kind of drill bit cuts the cleanest on automotive sheetmetal?

I need to go drill the holes for the trim retainers when the trim arrives.

Is there one that stays in place better than others?
