Ryoken's Guide to Rust Treatment and Bodywork 101

Seems like if the pinion seal was leaking you would have gear
lube slung all over the diff.:dunno:. Don't see any of that going on, just seems to be on the bottom of diff.

that's what I thought too...none on top

and generally it wont drip upward onto the yoke... to be flung around.. just out the bottom of the seal...

check the fill plug on the side... and get a rear gasket and gear oil, and service it... it may just be wicking up from a cover leak.. pull cover, drain, clean, regasket, fill, joy..

are we not allowed to see pics with the hood on?!? I've been checking this thread every time there is a reply bro! I need to see it! :P

I got the seal and gear oil today...I'll get the gasket tomorrow...I guess I will try to go ahead and replace the pinion seal...do I use RTV on the cover gasket?

and a 1 1/8" socket...I hope thats right

Looks great! Someone will chime in shortly enough on your other questions. Why are you putting different wheels on it?

Because I want to finally see it looking like the Brody Blazer...with full hubcaps...and skinny tires...looking old school and Jaws correct

Looks awesome!

I use steel wool. I have no clue what I'm doing. Definitely takes out the dullness though.

I heard that oven cleaner really shines up old chrome...just wondered if anybody has used it
