I don't know the name but I'm pretty sure its on the convertibles only. There should be a chrome plate on the door that mates up with it.

indeed it is...kind of fits way up high...doesn't even get near the carpet

if it's only on the full verts, I am out of luck...there aren't any of those around here
Pretty sure it's just early style, not specific to verts.
What's the quickest acting glue to glue the dash cover to the old dash?
I'd think a contact cement...just gotta clean both surfaces really well. I had one of those covers on a parts truck, didn't know the dash wasn't black right away. Fortunately the cover was just laid over the original uncracked red dash...which found a new home.
I want to get a real dash, but at $400 plus shipping it isn't in the cards right now...I already have the old dash and a new cover which came with the truck...I can paint it the same Saddle Tan as the rest of the vinyl parts and they will all match...may not be 100% correct because I think the dashes were "buckskin" while the rest was Saddle Tan...giving a distinct color difference in the dash from everything else.
But I would rather have a dash on it right now than not...
I'd probably do the same for the time being. Also, as far as gluing it, I'd think about a 1" wide strip of glue around the edges, rather than 100% coverage. I think it'll be easier to get it down that way...

If your blazer didn't come with carpet it probably didn't have them.

My dash cover shell came with tube of clear silicon.
Instructions say do not glue in the middle. Just around the edges.
That works nicely for us.

And here are some goodies I found at the parts yard today off of 1974 C10's:
A set of kick panels, one good and one not so good but usable.
A set of oem door lock knobs
A nice passenger side door handle (nylon)
A passenger side door handle
A spring for the door handle that I needed (donor handle was beat to crap)
An air vent opener handle (I did not have one of these glad to find)

Good find, getting harder to find older stuff.
Wow! Turned out better than I had hoped. This will definitely work until next year.
I still got to figure out how the AC tubes go in the dash...I got one that goes to the AC vent to the left of the steering wheel and can't figure out where it hooks up to.
