proof of concept junk.... please excuse the grainy arse vids, need to work on that...
3/16 x 3" to about 145 degrees..
1/4" x 3" wide to 90 degrees....
I'd imagine it'll do 4" or maybe 5" wide......
bit disappointed, IT DID NOT LIKE 3/8"...
I tried a piece of 2" wide and got it about 35 degrees and said, fug ya...

and it was strictly in the jack.. even hand pumping it... my junk is fine... I didn't push it to bypass point, but... i'm sure it would do 1" wide tho....
I'm confident tho it would bend whatever width 3/16's I want to tho.. 12" wide, etc..
here's how i mocked up the tubes.. spacers, etc...
decided to drill a 5/8 hole where I needed to weld the 7/8 rod to.... that way, my nice machined end would hopefully give me a near vertical post...
tomorrow I need to finish the fingers.... it works out well on the new table.. by the looks of the SWAG pics, it looks like I wanted them more than 45 degrees..... i did not want them to a point.. it's about 1/8" wide at the tip... think the angle is like 55 to 60 degrees... other than 90/45, just set it and clamp...

I'm very pleased.... it all seems to have come together and works very well, smooth.. thankfully..
a big plus is it's all separate.. I can make a single upper press if I want and slide it right on those posts... and loading/unloading it is easier...
the one thing that did not work out optimally was the height... in those vids, the ram is running in the lower 1/2 of it's stroke... basically i need to run it down 2 to 3" to engage... i can just throw spacers in if i want, but I think I may actually drill 4 dedicated brake pin holes in the tower legs for the press brake.. I'll see.. it's not the end of the world.... but when I went to do the 3/8", I wondered if I would get better power at the beginning of the stroke...
oh, one other project i'll be working on in The LAB™ over the next few weeks is an actual decent table for the bandsaw in it's upright position.. 1/4" or 3/8".... the sheetmetal thing it came with is pathetic... I'd really like to start using it that way now that I got a reasonable TPI blade in there...
tomorrow the press gets the handle holder installed too...
