a combination of rainy weather, sunday being fathers day, and having to work friday forced me to postpone my build until next weekend
if i would have known the straight link would have cleared i most prolly would have went that route with some weld in bungs, oh well to late i suppose, this bent one should serve me just fine
as for the airboat what hunterguy86 said is true, and if they have enough power you can run them on dry ground, they make for very good means of transport to get to the duck blind, deer stand or to go frogging, and are just fun as hell to drive. with the advent of the fubared hull situation we have been looking to upgrade to a bigger boat, our current one is a 12' fiberglass hull with a 0320 (4 cyl, 160 hp) lycoming motor with a wooden prop, we are wanting to get a 13' aluminum hull with a 0540 (6 cyl, 260 hp) lycoming motor and most likely either a two or three blade composite prop. also my dad won $5k from a free raffle at the casino the other day, so our chances of getting a new boat after 30 years are pretty good
