Wow that fits way better than I thought it would!
I've been thinking about swapping one of those step bumpers onto my '12. I've seen a few online and they fit the GMT900 pretty well but haven't seen one on a GMT800.

I seen all the pics on Google for the bumper on the gmt900 and I think its bolt on and done. It was hit n miss with pics of gmt800 trucks. Looking thru posts it's good n bad with opinions. I did see a YouTube video and he used a 1500 bumper on his 2500hd. So i figured it's cheap enough I'll try it. Yesterday when I 1st put it on I didnt think it was going to work. But drilling all new holes and taking my time with the gaps it worked out good. The holes are drilled 2 1/4 inches up and back from the stock ones so the frame doesnt look like swiss cheese.

The hitch plug and spare tire lock came in on Friday. The stock wiring worked, the light sockets plug right in, I used 194 led bulbs to look better. The bumpers complete now. Going to change the trailer hitch this week to a drawtite square tube so it's all bolted to the frame. The stock style has the bumper bolts, I'm afraid it will tear at the welds. This hitch doesnt have the trailer wiring plug either so I'll just have the one in the bumper, should look cleaner that way

It's been month, all I have done is drive it...alot going on unfortunately. In the last 6 months a few things happened. I seen the alky control pump leakIng, I swapped that out and sent mine in for a rebuild.

Also kept throwing throttle body codes that I've had to clear, I changed the harness and so far so good.

This week I noticed the truck pulling in the steering. The tierod was bent, it's a ord 1.25 bar so I'm not sure how that happened, it came with the axle. It now tho has a 1.5 tierod, offset rod ends and a psc cylinder clamp. Pretty tough looking setup, I adjusted the stops too back further so it turns better now too. There was a washer under the nut on the bottom of one side on the tierod ends, I put one on each side but I'm not sure should they be there.

My rear 2.5 foa shocks have decided to leak. They were redone 4 years ago so I guess that's not too bad. That is tho the 3rd time they were fixed in 5 years. I was going to just put bilsteins on it but the frame has mounts welded on for the reservoirs. A pair of fox 2.0 resi shocks will replace those as soon as they come in. Brown Santa has those right now.

I had the 3rd brake light and the tail lights lightly tinted too. At 1st I didnt like it but it has grown on me. Also the nfab steps were a rotted mess, I put these 6 inch stainless tubes on, not my favorite but they work for the time being. The new bed I bought is finally painted so shortly I hope the rockers get done and the rest gets painted.

Are the rockers rusted? I don't see a spec of rust on there

Yea bubbles on the bottom and the corner, it's nothing super bad but it's there. My brother had me buy full rockers and corners. Going to change both sides, put 2 new fenders on and paint the whole truck. It will get stock fender flares too. The whole thing will be redone and it will all be fixed. Might even switch to these wheels.

These are 8x6.5, they are replicas. That's a screen shot of jegs website, they have em in stock and are about the best price.

I changed both draglink ends, tightened up the 4 link joints, adjusted the caster and now I'm going to change the front axle joints on my 4 link to balistic bushing style. That way everything's tightened up and ready to be realigned.

Oh and put 35s on the jk..lol. yea I know it's a jeep but its hers and it needed charecter... lol

I got the front end all tightened up so it's all good no with the 4 link. I swapped out the pitman arm and the steering joints on the drag link only tho because I noticed something that I should of known. The pitman arm has draglink taper, with a regular tierod end cranked as tight as it would go. So now it's all fixed, parts mike had one with no master splines and tie rod end taper.

So for a daily I've been driving an 18 sonic RS hatchback. I usually drive the HD twice a week instead of every day. I had an itch and bought a 2019 custom silverado 1500, 5.3.

No updates to the hd, I did tho do a few things to the 19. Put on gibson cat back exhaust, airaid jr cold air kit, rebadged, factory fog light kit, morimoto h11 led headlight bulbs, readylift 2 inch, painted mirror caps, black bowtie in the grill, vinyl tailgate letters(taken b4 it was debadged)and today ordered 295 60 20 falken wildpeak at3w. Tires will on later in the week.

Every truck at least needs a tire upgrade in my opinion. It makes a world of difference be it going up a size or just putting an AT or MT on that make it look like a truck.
