Shop build. HEAT!

Finally getting other stuff done.

Getting the first layer of insulation up.

Nothing on this thing is square or normal. The top opening is 53 ish inches. Second is 42, third is I think like 31 and the bottom is 13"

Really?

Is it that hard to do them in any sort of normal length say 48" or 24 or hell even 36. Or to actually measure the height as you put em up.

Good grief have to measure every single one is different

If you build it, old Chevys will come...

Thats weird they have the wind bracing not going to the corners. I would redo that. Well I guess they did one corner right.

Is that beam across the top crooked - looks like you can see daylight through one part and not another..

Probably loose soffit venting.

I don't think this building was ever meant to be finished. There is daylight up there.

There are also no real soffits. Goes almost exactly to the edge of the building and the roof ends. I'm going to have to put a powered vent in the attic

that would be a huge PITA with everything out of square.

Can you use a regular old circular saw to cut that stuff? I would imagine marking the uneven cuts and using that saw would be the most productive.....

Personally I'd use the tablesaw that's sitting next to the foam pile. Circular saw would be second choice. But, since I don't have a tablesaw, that is what I have been using.

without the fence? I'd rather use a circular saw.

I hear you...Drove me crazy framing up my shop. Make a drawing of where the poles are ( If you are covering them ) Makes it easier to find them if you want to hang something heavy on them.

I thought about it but the my purpose is mostly to seal the building. So I decided the best course of action was to cut at the smallest measurements and then just use the foam in a can to fill the gap. Seems like it will work well.

You mean the one with the pile of steadily growing blue foam dust around it:D

Yes this is what I'm using
