Shrunken Ned...

I think you have completed a project therefore ripping a hole in the time space continuum. Creating a dual singularity that will eventually consume the entire world....... possibly the known universe.

And it's starting with your cooling system

You have doomed us all Jack.

i think the over flow might be partially to blame along with the leak at the sender. the overflow is about 1/4 full atm. radiator is 3/4 full..prob level with the manifold........If I had a head gasket issue that bad wouldnt it be blowing white smoke like a steam train? cause that hasnt happend.

yes it would or filling up your oil or filling your water with combustion gas

The only thing I'm working off of for the head gasket theory is the pressure in the system when cold. The LLY Duramax head gaskets fail in such a way that you get combustion pressure in the cooling system. When I lifted the heads on my LLY it pushed all the water out the overflow and once it had cooled off it still had pressure in the coolant system. Those were the only symptoms that I had. The upper radiator hose would be still have pressure on it in the morning and be difficult to squeeze.

I don't think that your average 350 has head gasket failures like that, I would think if it was head gaskets it would get water in the oil OR have white steam visible but also don't forget Propane burns different and it might not steam like a gas engine?

Since you have room temp mount a one gallon jug and run the radiator overflow hose to it, fill the system well and warm it up and drive it around the block. See how much water it in that jug. I could never get anyone to tell me how big a catch can should be for a 5 gallon system but some figures I found searching proved out to be about 1.25 to 1.5 gallons.

I'm honestly simply tossing out theories and hoping that my thoughts might bring on other peoples thoughts and help solve the issue.

yeah no worries. I'm grateful for all the imput...I did have a nightmare last night of pulling the heads off to replace the gaskets..the head bolts just turned and turned and turned..then I woke up shaking in a cold sweat, sucking my thumb in the fetal position.

This supports my collapsing universe theory.

You don't have to worry about anything happening with the collapsing Universe until Babaganoosh gets a transmission that works for more than ten days in his truck. Once that happens I'm pretty sure there are bad things in our future.

HAAAAAAAA!!!! :haha:

OH man LOL

almost 100% sure its a head gasket..no clue in the world where the water is going tho. no smoke from the exhaust. no leaks anywhere. oil level is right where it should be. Runs great. I left the radiator cap off with a hose in it turned on for 30 min while it ran. it sat at 150-190. fan came on at 190ish and cooled it back down to 150. every time you revved it and held the throttle the water level would drop in radiator. like 3-4 inches at 2 grand for a minute. I know it takes a lot of water to fill the system but I was way beyond that. and I got little black floatie things in the radiator fluid. not excited to do head gaskets at all.

Are your little black floaty things tiny rubber chunks from cutting hoses?

If you used a saw to cut your hoses to length and they weren't rinsed out well, you'll have a bunch of rubber particles left in there...

My best guess.

back to thinking its the water pump..going to the parts store
