Smokey The Crew Cab---- 90 V3500 6.5 Banks equipped(Cummins Swap in progress)

but what about the powerwagon? :D

Ugh , well honestly not much is going on with it . I still need a bunch of parts before I can even start on it . I'm kinda in Triage mode right now .

Motor Swap and lift for the 79
Trans in Pattys Tahoe
Finish swapping plow on the blue Burb
Part out a 91 burb and swap its guts into 70 K10 for my boss.
Finish 3-link on the brown and tan burb and swap the 700r4 for a Sm465.
Swap a Cummins and 1-tons into a 69 Power Wagon for a buddy
Headstuds and o-ring head on my 98 Cummins
Flatbed/sleddeck on the 2012 Cummins
Replace axle on my trailer

And then, if I can swing it buy the parts to start on the ambulance .

I'm assuming that's the power wagon your talking about , not the 71 Mint green rust bucket with the big block , or the 78 W300 with the Big Block ????

Between work and personal projects when do you even sleep! Wish I had the money for even 1 of those projects.

I don't have time or money that's the problem , I'm talking on the side work to pay for my junk . Sleep about 6-7 hrs a night . I also have some overhaul work for a local construction company later this winter coming up .

Yeah Gus, I was talking about that M43!
You sure got a full plate!
good thing your young!

Shimmed my upper kingpins and replaced the bearings in the lowers yesterday, the kingpins and bushing looked good, no weird or uneven wear springs looked good. The lowers looked new but I had some slop and mild death wobble.

I was expecting shit to be wasted , but that wasn't the case ???? . Shims worked though and the truck drives like new again . I do need to replace the rod ends on the ORD crossover .

So I think Smokey has a cracked head , it’s pushing water out the puke tank at the rate of about 1/2 gallon every 500 miles . I have another engine ready to go but I think this may be a sign to tear it down and fix the poor thing right .

So I think the plow frame will come off and go on the 83 burb for the winter or I may just limp it through until I get the new shop built ......... unsure right now.

Smokey is still plodding along , daily driving it’s still even with what I think to be a cracked head . I’m getting pressure built up in the cooling system .

No contamination in the oil or vice versa , so kinda rules out a head gasket .

I run about a 1/2 gallon low on coolant and it does fine , if I fill it all the way it ends up shoving it out into the puke tank .

It’s not getting hot and still has good power so I’m pretty much going to keep limping it along until it goes Tango Uniform .

I will gladly take it off your hands when you are sick of dealing with it, of course you will have to ship it to me in Utah and it would have to be free fifty free.
