Slowly making progress, parts are coming in at a snails pace! I decided to go with a GM t-case and keep the stock 60 instead of swapping in my 78-79 ford 60 . Saves me quite a bit of money rebuilding/regearing the ford axle at the expense of using 4” exhaust instead of the 5” I prefer.

I bet you could squeeze a 5” oval if you tried hard enough.

I don’t really want to try that hard , the 4” Diamond Eye is gonna be enough hassle as is lol

Edit: I’m not even sure what down pipe I’m going to be using . I ordered a Borg Warner K27 from Power Driven Diesel . I have a 2nd Gen HX40 down pipe I can use , but I also want to run a PAC-Brake (preferably a direct mount)

I’m thinking I’m going to end up building a down pipe .

Also I’m not really wanting to spend the extra hassle just for the sound . It’s a VE motor with fueling mods to make maybe 425hp 4” is more than adequate. Is just like the lower tone of the bigger pipe.

My 98.5 has 4” straight and it’s the loudest truck I own . Smokey is gonna get a 4” Aero muffler it needs to be quiet I’d like people to think it’s still a banks equipped 6.5 lol

So this won't be on par to @obijuank5 's build by a long shot . I'm doing most of this build out of my hoarders stockpile . I am spending some actual money where I have decided I didn't want to compromise.

My budget is fluid, I'm using my Quarterly bonus checks from work, tax refunds, trading/selling, side work. No money from our monthly incomes is going to this project .

Ugh , so no progress on this thing . I did get another NV5600/NV241DHD with the big input. So I will be using that instead of the NV4500/NP205

With the dodge tcase I will now be using my 78/79 Ford Snowfighter Dana 60 I have been hoarding for 15 years . The other optionis to use 05+ Superduty 60 I have with Hogback Fabrication swap brackets. But the Snowfighter 60 is the easier/cheaper option.

I need to start making some progress on my projects or just purge everything because stuff is starting to rot out from sitting.

How’s Anchorage? I’ve been offered a job up there but I have no idea what to expect in Alaska. It’s a 7 month on 5 off job, pay is great, I’ve always wanted to see Alaska but not sure I want to live there

Anchorage………. It’s a liberal cesspool , at this point it’s basically Portland-Lite.

But , that being said Alaska is awesome. I can’t imagine living anywhere else .

Yes , that’s true and no state sales tax.

Our property taxes are kinda steep for the services we get.

But all and all it’s not bad.

Most of our budget comes from Oil/Gas and Mining royalties.

Municipal and Borough (county) budgets are paid by property and in some places small sales tax.

Our legislative body is very corrupt, I would predict in the next 10 years we have state taxes.
